Too tight

They say they are for wide feet but my sons foot barley fits in them they are tight on him and hard to get his foot in them

Consider sizing up, but great sneaker!

We upgraded (or thought we did) from Oshkosh (pink) size 5s when my little gal's foot started being tight in her older shoes. I thought sizing up from 5 to 6T would be enough, but as you can see by the pictures, the size 6T Stride Rite is almost identical in size. For what it's worth, the quality is great! The gray color is very functional. We took out the wide foot liner to give our girl more time in the shoes, but she's already (a mere few weeks later) starting to seem tight in the new shoes. Had I known about the size difference, I might have sized up. If you're thinking about it, I recommend sizing up and then if too big, get a smaller size, too. The quality and flexible soul for my 18 month old is totally worth the price tag.

Perfect fit, sturdy shoe

I struggle with spending a lot of money on shoes for a toddler, considering they will be outgrown in a few months. I bit the bullet and ordered these, and I might now be a convert! My son has a leg issue and I wanted to be sure I was getting him a quality shoe with good support. I ordered a size 6 toddler and it fits perfectly with a little wiggle room, which is what I wanted. I love that the tongue practically comes entirely out of the shoe, making putting them on a breeze.

Learning to Walk

Perfect shoes for toddler learning to walk. He started wearing these the first weekend after he took his first few steps and it really helped him learn how to grip the ground. These shoes are very durable. I was able to take out the soles as he has a wide foot. Overall, very happy with my purchase of this shoe from Stride Rite!!

New walker(9 mos)!

My 9 month old started walking about a month ago and wanted to get him a pair of lightweight yet sturdy pair of shoes. He has to get used to them but they’re cute and casual and do the job!

They're ok~

I thought these shoes were just ok. They were not leather and not made as nicely as other Stride Rite shoes that are made of better materials. This shoe clearly survives off the Stride Rite brand. I like a softer shoe for babies, like the soft leather Stride Rite shoes I have purchased in the past. However I can see their temptation to use cheaper materials since babies grow out of shoes quickly! Still, I like what I like for my children, and will pay closer attention to the materials prior to purchasing shoes in the future - regardless of the brand. I assumed because of the Stride Rite brand that they would use higher quality materials.

Easy on and durable

My son has been wearing these for about 3 months now and they still look like new after a few washes. My kids are tough on shoes, but these, similar to a lot of the striderite shoes, are holding up extremely well. They’re also really easy to get on and off and the double Velcro keeps them on.
