does the job

Give off great water pressure and looks great. It doesn't have as many spray adjustments as I would have liked but I would buy it again.

Speakman customer service was great!

No complaints, other than there really only appear to be two settings even though there are 5 options. This product did arrive with cracked piece. By the time I noticed it at install it was too late to return to Amazon but Speakman replaced the piece (they actually replaced the whole shower head and all components) at no charge. Great customer service!

Surprisingly good pressure - UPDATED - very quickly cracked

We replaced a very old shower head which I suspect was original to when the house was built in the early 80's. We're slowly swapping out the chrome for matte black and this blends well with our new black shower rod (the interdesign curved rod, if you're interested). I was worried about this restricting water flow too much as we are used to quite good water pressure since I"m sure our old head didn't have any flow restrictors. However this has been a pleasant surprise. We *'did* notice this has a little less pressure than the old one, but not by much and not enough for either my husband or I to really care. After using it just a few times we already forgot the difference. It provides plenty enough pressure to be able to easily rinse of soap reside and get all the conditioner out of my long hair. I didn't have to use the provided teflon tape as our spout already had it on, and I just hand tightened it (as a female with not particularly strong hands) and it worked perfectly, no leaks. Having the option to use it as a handheld sprayer has been perfect for using it on my plants. The main head is plastic but from what I've read about other black shower heads they are all plastic nowadays. Even the much more expensive delta trinsic/in2ition ones, which have worse reviews for water pressure and spray patterns. Overall I'm very pleased with the price and the function and the look and would recommend. UPDATE: Not long after being installed the pivot joint cracked and leaks now. It has only been used by 2 responsible adults and no children. In some positions it's not so bad, just a steady flow from the crack but in other positions it forcefully gushes water into the ceiling/out the side of the shower curtain. I'd expected this to last longer than a month. Unfortunately I need to change my review from 5 stars to 2.

Unlike speakman

This thing is made of cheap plastic. The water pressure is no where close to my old shower head. Can’t believe this has the speakman brand on it. I want water pressure that can sting my skin

Shower mount broke after 6 months

We love the heft and feel of this shower head, but the mount clip broke after 6 months. Looking at the other reviews, this appears to be a common problem. We're in the process of getting a replacement through Speakman, but unless they've made modifications to the materials and/or design, I'm dubious that it will hold up any better than the first one. Getting a matte black replacement to match will cost at least $62 so I'm very disappointed. Would not recommend.

DANGEROUSLY DEFECTIVE DO NOT BUY!!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! This item has a DANGEROUS MAJOR DEFECT! This handheld shower head cracked and flew out of the wall. It hit my husband while he was showering and crashed onto the shower floor. I have been in contact with this company immediately after it happened. I have spoken to representatives who told me that don’t issue refunds since it wasn’t purchased directly through them. I immediately asked to speak to a supervisor. The company asked me to email her with all the item details as well as pictures which I did. Still no response. I called again yesterday and was promised a return call but once again nothing. I do not want a replacement but I am asking to be refunded. I paid almost $70 for a product that could have seriously injured my husband. AGAIN DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Poor Customer Service

This shower head has great flow..that I love. However after 2 weeks the plastic adjustment piece cracked and now leaks. I contacted customer service and they said that plumbers tape needed to be used; the faucet was professionally installed with the shower reno and the proper plumbers tape was used. NO amount of tape will work due to the crack in the fixture. I provided proof of purchase. No return of emails or phone calls. Speakman is not honoring the 1 year warranty. Very displeased with the product and the poor customer service.

broken bracket

I was so excited getting the box in the mail today and it already came with the bracket broken. Better quality check required I guess :(
