Reasonably priced and easy to install...

Easy installation, reasonably priced. Delta wanted $880 for shower head and bar. Purchased head with hose for $60 and this bar for $110. Works and looks great!

Too much plastic

I have just installed this unit in my shower. I'm disappointed a the amount of plastic the manufacturers use in their plumbing fittings ! These bars are ADA rated, but I think I'll avoid every pulling on them, not knowing if they'll hold up.

Strong, functional & attractive

Great combination grab bar and shower slide. Not easy to find in polished brass! We mounted it in my mother's walk in shower where the ADA says grab bars should be ( one vertically right inside the shower door and another horizontal against the wall.) The bar is substantial and thicker than it looks in the photo. Came with the screws and installed easily with the right drill to go through the tile. Super strong. There is a lever to hold the slide in place. I also bought a Kohler slide for another bathroom. It is sleeker but not strong enough to act as a grab bar. Am very pleased with this bar and THRILLED with the Speakman Anystream shower head. It deserves all the praise and "best of" awards. I used to work for a luxury hotel company and we used Speakman's in all our hotels.

It's okay

I'm not as happy with this piece as I was with the last one I bought (for a former house). The slide piece is plastic and I worry it won't last long. It also does not lock into position on the bar, so it slides around the bar (not up and down), which requires constantly adjusting it so it will spray on me. The cradle for the hose is an odd size; I have tried two hoses and neither fits well (one jams in there and is hard to get out; the other doesn't fit down into it, so it is not securely seated). Not sure I'd recommend it.

Solid and functional shower mount/grad bar!

Why wouldn't you use your adjustable shower head mount as a grab bar? I like how solidly this unit holds and maintains the 'point' of the water flow. I'd worried that the spray arm holder might not accommodate my sprayer, but it fit perfectly. I'd advise careful consideration of the included hardware, as the site situation will always be unique, and I purchased heavier, longer screws to reach through my surround and firmly into a backing stud. The finish seems nice and has held up to daily use we'll thus far. I love the ADA compliant assist handle and wonder why other manufacturers don' follow suit! At this price, I would use this bar again and again! Kudos to Amazon for another winner!

Sturdy and nice quality

I have been looking for a slide/grab bar for the shower. This one is very sturdy and it looks nice. The slide is very easy to adjust. Aligning the 2 mounting brackets during installation is a bit challenging. The way the holes are aligned, you cannot drill the holes with the mounting brackets held against the wall. It would be nice if there is a template included to assist in the installation for marking the mounting holes. Drilling the 4 holes for the screws must be very precise, a little off will be a problem. I use #8 stainless steel screws to make sure they are strong enough and won't corrode, the size of the screw just fits the mounting holes, that leaves little room for tolerance.

Works better than anything I had before

Put a few studs behind it and can handle my weight when I get out of the tub ... Works Great
