Getting harder to find

I have worn this style of sketcher shoes over the last 20 years. Lately it’s been harder and harder to find them and was happy to see them on Amazon. To me, they are the most comfortable work shoes you can find in their price range. It almost feels like a tennis shoe. They are very durable and some pairs I have worn of them have lasted 2 to 3 years with every day use.

Comfortable and the tread on the sole is not as deep as others'. That's the reason I bought these.

Great shoes, as always

I have been wearing this same style of Sketchers for the past 10 years. They fit great and last longer than any other shoes I have purchased. The strings wear out and its hard to find replacement strings from local stores that are as heavy as the ones that come with the shoes. Highly recommend these. Great casual shoes.

Comfortable and Waterproof

I have feet that are quite wide, but only at the toe area, but not the heel. I ordered several pairs of shoes on Amazon, as I was unable to get any in the shops due to the "pandemic". I had to return them all, as they were either too big, too small, too wide, or too narrow. Almost in desperation, I ordered these Skechers Rilar Golf-Shoes, and, wonder of wonders, these shoes are perfect for my needs. I'm normally a size 9 or 10, but the shoes I bought are a very roomy size 9, with plenty of room around the feet, without being too loose. I've had them for about a month now, and have been on many long walks with them on, both on hard surfaces and in muddy woodlands, and the shoes seem to be wearing well. Best of all, living as I do in wet Wales, they have kept my feet perfectly dry. So, in summary, a comfortable and waterproof walking shoe, which is true to size and seems hardwearing. Highly recommended.

Not quite right...

I've been wearing these for two weeks now, and they feel really nice, but the size is not quite right. They feel a bit loose and I keep looking down at them and thinking that they look too long. I just checked them against my other shoes and sure enough, they are sized about 10 1/2 even though they are marked as a 10 (also EW, not W). Another reviewer cautioned that you should order one half-size smaller...I should have listened... Sure are comfortable, though (and light, too). I wish I had noticed the size issue when I first tried them on, but they were stiff and it was impossible to tell that they were a bit larger than normal. EDIT: Okay, I returned the 10 and got a 9.5, and they fit perfectly. It's been one year now (give or take a week) and the soles are just starting to separate from the uppers. I've snagged and caught the edges several times because they protrude a bit, so that's probably the main reason they are coming apart. I'm also using them for work on construction sites, which is a tough environment for any shoe. Before this month, though, they were a great shoe....very light, comfortable and didn't leak when I walked though water or slush (they do now, which is what made me notice the soles separating). I'm going to order another pair now, because the damage is all my fault and one year seems like a pretty good lifespan for a shoe being used this way. EDIT: So I didn't actually order another pair after my last edit, I just used Shoe Goop to glue them back together...ran a bead all the way around in between the sole and the upper, and they have lasted until December 2019 before coming apart again. Ordered a new pair two weeks ago and threw the others away. So that's not a bad lifespan considering how badly they get abused on the job. I'm bumping them up to 4 stars again, especially since the initial failure might have had something to do with a habit I have of treating all my work shoes and boots with a boot oil (from Red Wing) before I wear them; I do this for a couple of days and reapply as the oil is absorbed. It suddenly occurred to me, while I was doing the second application, that perhaps the oil is weakening the glue? It shouldn't, but you never know. We'll see how long this pair lasts. Gotta love the comfort of these...it's like walking on air...
