Good fabric scissors that work left or right handed

I've been making a lot of the no sew blankets with various types of fleece material. The scissors I had were ok but they didn't cut well at the tip - if I wanted to make a small cut, I had to take it all the way to the base of the scissors and try to control my cut. I found these and they are great; easily cut through the two layers of fleece material and cut from tip to base. Added bonus, the scissors are ambidextrous - I can cut just as well with my left hand as my right hand. My only complaint is they are a little heavy and I would've liked the 8 inch vs the 9 1/2 inch. But, the price was unbeatable on this pair and well worth the weight and extra length. Having such a good pair of scissors will seriously help reduce the cutting time in my blanket making process.

Great fabric scissors at a bargain price! Will definitely buy again!

I had previously planned to order the Singer 3404 Sewing and Craft Scissors Set, as they were a little cheaper and from a brand that can generally be trusted. But, after reading a review that said they weren’t worthy of the Singer name and loads of other similar reviews panning them, I decided on these, and boy am I thankful I did! We have an Olfa rotary cutter I use for most things, but there are some wavy or very small cuts, along with cuts after I’ve placed fabric ON things that need to be done from time to time, and these scissors are GREAT! I’ve placed several fabric scraps on the handle that say “for fabric only, seriously, I WILL kill you!” and warned my husband and my roommate not to ever touch or use them unless it’s for fabric ONLY. They’re wonderfully sharp and leave a perfect cut edge, even on fabric prone to fray. Once the boys invariably go against my wishes and use these scissors for things other than fabric and ruin them for me, these are DEFINITELY the reasonably priced scissors I’ll be going for to replace themselves again! Seriously, don’t cheap out and buy the $5 set...spend the extra $3!

Fell just short of 5 stars

I bought this scissors because I got one just like it years ago and loved it. It is very sharpe even after years of use. This one is also very sharpe, however it seems to need some kind of smoothing down. It has a tendency to "hitch" on fabrics and though there are little raised areas on the metal. Not sure if it happens because it is new. Outside of that, it works as expected.

Good but made in China.

So I ordered these scissors because I thought Singer was an American owned company. Of course they were made in China which seems like everything else you buy on Amazon. I am trying to avoid purchasing items made in China because I am firmly against China’s treatment of their Hong Kong citizens, and the myriad of other human rights violations committed by the Chinese government. As for the scissors they work great. I am using them for taking apart old and damaged clothing and recycling the fabric into new garments and textiles so I am not dependent on goods made by a country that treats people as commodities. In the future I will only be purchasing USA or allies made scissors.

Didn't stay sharp long at all

Only stayed sharp through half of one dress pattern. Made with 100% cotton thin. materia started bending over scissors and cutting ruff edges about half way through. I am very disappointed. I got them as an extra pair for when mine are out being sharpened.

Perfect for weaker hands, cuts through several layers of fabric at the same time EASILY!

These are some of the best fabric scissors I’ve used. Very easy for weaker hands as these cut through like a hot knife through butter... not just something I’d say lightly. Awesome for fabric crafts. I’d recommend these for anyone who wants a great pair of fabric scissors at a wonderful deal. Happy with my purchase. Sharp enough to send you to the ER for 8 stitches! Excellent fabric cutting ability. Be very careful not to have your finger under the fabric you are cutting. Ask me how I learned this.

Just as expected

I hadn't had my sewing machine out for years, so when I tried my old scissors, they fell apart. These arrived very quickly. They're sharp, well made and I'd recommend them.

Good value

Was looking for a sharp pair of scissors for cutting wool forknitted pom-poms and didn’t want to spend a fortune. Although these are a little big for my small hands, they are exactly what I was looking for in terms of sharpness and value.

Nice solid scissors

I like the feel of these scissors. They feel solid in my hand and cut like a dream. I wonder how I sewed before with those cheaper orange handled scissors. Keeping these safe in my sewing room!
