Amazing boot with that perfect Salomon fit

So, earlier this year I purchased some Salomon shoes (Speedcross 5s) and wow, were they comfortable. So I decided to take a chance on their hiking boots for more serious hikes, and I ordered these in the same size that fit in the Speedcrosses. You never know how things are going to fit until you try them on, so it was a bit of a chance. These being serious hiking boots, I needed them to have extra room in the toe area to accommodate thicker socks--and that area of the boot was indeed larger in the same size. More importantly, I could actually put on some incredibly thick socks and the lacing system would let the boot expand to fit them perfectly. In a word--could not be happier with the fit. I also really feel the ankle support up and down the boot, and if you're the kind of stumbling klutz I am after 6 hours on the trail, this is greatly appreciated. Solid ankle support has saved me multiple times from tears and sprains that I could ill afford on long hikes. Durability--I can't tell yet. Will update in a year or so if I remember. So yes, 5 stars, and they look good too!

Good fit and feel - size runs true

I really like the fit and comfort of these boots. I switch between men's 12 and 13, and ordered 12.5. I like a hiking boot with a stiff, less flexible sole and these are just what I like in terms of balance of stiffness and comfort. I would definitely buy again.

Solid and dependable

Bought these boots some time ago and they are completely worn out. I wanna say these boots are some of the best I’ve owned. Comfortable and durable, they dried quick and I never really experienced major foot pain even without insoles. Definitely recommending to friends.

Seems like a good shoe

I would have given this a 4 and if it held up a couple of years, a 5. What stoos me from giving it a 4/5 is t h at the left side shoe has a stitching that is causing a bend on the instep near the front of the arch. This bend is causing a hot spot that for a long trek would definitely cause pain or blister on the foot. I am military and am used to breaking in boots that are not ideal so I am trying to see if it softens over time. Otherwise the Vietnam made boot (which I have had good luck with in the past) appears to be well made. I will update in a year if I can remember to.

Wide toe tight heel

They were true to size. I have wide feet and these shoes are wide enough and comfortable. The heel was a little tight.

This is my third pair of Quest-line Salomons. There’ll be a fourth—they require no break-in and last for years with moderate use on Utah high mountain trails.

10k ruck and NO BLISTERS

Got these boots ahead of an event where many km of rucking was expected. Ankle support was great and didn't re-injure even on sandy and uneven ground. Ended up doing 10k with full ruck and another 6k of patrols, no problems at all. It must be that my feet just *really* like these boots, but I got literally 0 blisters. I will be buying another pair when these wear out.

New boots

Wasn’t to sure about these boots to start with always use Salomon but these looked a bit narrow than my usual ones, iv done 4 wainwrights in them so far and they have been great little tight to start with but are very comfortable now nice and waterproof which is what you need up the fells especially at the moment with all the rain about seem to have very good grip as well would defo recommend

Good shoes

I used these boots for more than 18 hrs continuously. I used them while I climbed almost an elevation of 2500 ft and down. I also went through a reentrant and water. All this and I did not feel anything. Boots are totally waterproof, keeps feet warm and fits nicely.

Not worthy to purchase

It doesn't meet the expectations at all, after one trekking need to throw it,no more use,entirely damaged. Not worth it. Pretty much disappointed

Most comfortable!

Very good pair of hiking boots. Used to have ankle pain after hiking for a while previously, but now it's all gone with this pair. Great ankle support and grip on surfaces.
