The Hue

I got this for Xmas for my little niece, who wanted a shimmer costume, her eyes were wide open as i gave her her wrapped present, she attacked the box like a wolverine on a forest squirrel and unsheathed her new play costume, what comes next? The look of a 4 year olds dissappointment, the hue of purple/pink was off, she told me it wasn’t shimmer, but some other character of the shows costume. Who was this character? I had no clue. I retreated, how could this happen? How could i let down my little niece? I looked up my order again, right there! It said Shimmer, i googled Shimmer costume, the hue matched! With my newfound confidence i approached my neice, who was obviously woo’d by her other uncle’s gifts, I said “it’s a shimmer costume Evie, the hue is on point” she screeched to me otherwise like a banshee from the depths of Mordor, she wasn’t going to be convinced, the hue wasn’t right for her, and i wasn’t going to change her mind. That was it, I had officially given her the worst uncle gift, in her mind, a bootleg shimmer costume. Update: Weeks later and I still haven’t changed her mind, she refuses to wear it, but it’s a beautiful kids costume. Will attempt to convince again tomorrow. Logging off. 1/4/19

The smaller size comes packaged as 3T, will not fit chubbier babies well.

I bought this for my daughter who will be 2 in less than 3 weeks. She's a pretty chunky nugget, so I wasn't sure how the smaller size would fit, but I went for it anyway since the price is fair. The legs fit pretty nice, and the bottom is a little tight due to her diaper. Her belly is big and stretches the fabric massively, and the chest area is loose. The arms are tight yet aren't cutting off circulation or super extreme. Essentially, the costume will work fine for her though it isn't perfect, and the fit is very likely due to how big my child is.

Prettier than on the picture

The costume is actually prettier than on the picture. I was hesitant to buy this costume because the pants and vest looks much darker than Shimmers costume. But I was very surprised to find out that they are in fact not as dark as pictured, and the costume looks more like it supposed to look. The costume is really pretty, and pants have two layers; chiffon and sateen. The size is fine, we got size 4-6, my daughter is round 5 year old, and it fits her well. Only complaint is the hair piece could have better comb. This one together with ribbon does not hold the hair very well and the pony falls off. I added picture for you to see real colors, just FYI she is NOT wearing fabric bracelets that are attached in the set. We bought SEPARATELY Shimmer bracelets.

INCOMPLETE ORDER to Complete

So the order came today on time. There was no headpiece or wristbands as listed. The package was completely destroyed and they had ripped the top part of the paper to NOT show the headpiece. The order was suppose to come NEW! It definitely was NOT!! I'm very disappointed, but I will update this review if the replacement order comes as it should! Update: Product was new and unopened and everything was included. My toddler was and still is happy!

Held up ok to an active kid

My kid loved the costume and she got three good wears out of it before it tore. She wore it for an hour long ballet practice and two trick or treating nights so she was very active in it. The pink hair that was included was a huge hit and really held up for each event. The only thing I did not care for was the glitter that is all over my house and car because of this shiny costume.

Good quality for the price

We ordered a small because at the time we ordered, they were out of the medium. This just fit my 6 year old daughter who is a little tall for a 6 year old. She loved it and it worked great for Halloween. It only comes with a pink head piece, which worked for us because my daughter did not want a costume with a wig.

Cute, but poor quality

The costume was very cute, but within the first 30 minutes my daughter had it on, there was a huge tear in the back. It didn’t even make it to halloween. I had to buy a second one and put it on her as we were literally walking out the door to trick or treat.

Good product, overpriced and a luttke but of size issues

Absolutely amazing wee outfit. Very fast delivery but Very expensive for what it is once you add delivery and I had trouble with sizing, first that the site wouldn't let me change the size and automatically sent a small then even with emailing immediately it wasn't picked up before dispatching and I had to return it, a month later I've not had refund yet, second arrived and fits very well but I think sizing should be clearer.

De buena calidad, lo compré en talla XS, para una niña de 4 años que pesa 15.5 kilos. Mide 1.10 cm. Y le quedó exacto. El pantaloncito un poco más corto que la imagen, pero se le ve muy bonito.

Excelente calidad y viene con accesorios!

Viene con los accesorios que muestra la foto (a excepción de zapatos) muy buena calidad y le quedó perfecto a mi hija de 5 años. Lo volvería a pedir. Quien no conoce la caricatura ubica muy bien que se trata de un disfraz de "genio"
