Worth the money

So I have used this brand and this model (or one VERY similar) for 10 years. My beloved straightener (the bottom one in the pick) gave out after 10 years. The new model I got has a nice upgrade of a fabric cord that swivels more freely than the other. I am not sure that it straightens as well as my previous model. I do have super curly hair that is course so it took a few passes to straighten it. It does have a nice way of keeping the frizz out as compared to other brands...and I have owned straighteners 150 to 200 dollars and this by far is the best and my favorite. My 16 year old got a L'ange for Christmas and she prefers this one By FAR! I only have 4 stars because I liked the weight of my older model better, not that it was much heavier just felt more substantial if that makes sense

Great for the Price

I had a Chi straightener for MANY years when it started to lose heat from being 15 years old, I was on the hunt for a new one. After weeks of searching and researching, I landed on Remington SmartPro straightener. The auto shut off was Remington VERY important to me because I tend to leave the house and can't remember if I've unplugged the straightener or not, I like this extra piece of mind! I also liked the option for different heat settings. Having very fine hair, I know that I don't need the max heat but it's nice to have when I want EXTRA straight hair. I tested it out this weekend and I'm ok with letting my Chi go and turning to this! It straightened my hair without issues, it heated up within 30 seconds and had very smooth plates! I would HIGHLY recommend this straightener!

Broken

I have literally never written a review for a product, but I feel the need to warn people about this. This straightener was supposed to come new but it came caked in dirt and rust and mysterious pieces of crud. It looked disgusting, but I decided to turn it on. All of the buttons on the outside are worn off and dirty, and when I turned on the straightener, it stayed on for two seconds before it shut off, and never heated up. I waited to long to return this so I'm stuck with my failed purchase, but it was overall pretty gross and disappointing.

Weird sound and my hair looks with lots of static.

I have the same model for about a year before I gifted to somebody in one of my trips to developing country. When I purchase this online I expected the same quality and experience but was disappointed to realize that he just wasn't quite the same as the one I had bought at the store. To start it has a really weird sound every time I use it like a high pitch noise which makes me anxious. And I don't know if it's my impression but my hair has lots of static after I use it. So I recommend that you do by this model from a trustworthy store like Target.

Buena... pero no diferente a las económicas.

He comprado algunas de diferentes marcas y no hay mucha diferencia, pues también maltrata el cabello. Creí que sería diferente pero no...y muy caro el producto. Funciona muy bien como cualquier plancha...más no como lo que venden!

Llegó en menos de una semana a pesar de ser articulo de importacion, esta muy bonita y el material se ve de buena calidad, calienta muy rapido, yo la use en 375° y me planchó bien el cabello, lo deja suave y brilloso.
