Got it for my husband, he loves it.
For the record I am reviewing: Real Avid 1911 Smart Wrench - 1911 Barrel Bushing Wrench, Government & Officer, Rubberized Non-Slip Outer Got so tired of watching my husband try to take apart his 1911 and clean it. The darn end clip has always been difficult to remove on both of our 1911's so I thought lets try this out and see if it works. YeeHa! It makes disassembly so much easier. No more struggling, hearing GD*#&&&$# when he is cleaning. Life is a little easier with the right tool. I highly recommend this little tool for all you 1911 owners.

Essential
Definitely an essential tool if you have a 1911. Saves time when taking off the bushing and ypu dont have to worry about the spring flying off somewhere. Well constructed and simple to use tool

This works pretty darn good!
I'm an older guy and don't have the hand strength or dexterity like I used too. This bushing wrench is fun to use and works very well. Nice to not have to go searching for runaway springs and will not scratch or damage your fine 1911s. I like it. DAVID

It works well
The media could not be loaded. It does the job and makes it easier to remove the recoil spring. I own a 1911 tac standard FS .45 acp.

Very easy to use
I recently got a 1911, my first 1911 but not my first .45. Anyhow as I was going through the manual familiarizing myself with the features and operation I came to the part about field stripping it. Instructions seemed easy enough. Unfortunately this Rock Island Armory model I got doesn't have the typical button looking barrel bushing, but rather, a hollow tube without much surface area. I was able to remove it with much discomfort to my thumb. Of course the spring came shooting out with authority. Also twisting the barrel bushing was nowhere as easy as RIAs video made it look. Whenever I read articles on various 1911s the authors invariably show them with barrel bushing wrenches. My RIA did not include one. Looking at the various options on Amazon I decided on this one as I like the thought about the recessed area to catch the recoil spring so it doesn't go launching across the room, or into my face. This tool makes it so much easier and faster to take down the pistol. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Fairly hard plastic construction. Be better if steel. Stops recoil springs going into orbit. Pics don't do it justice, it's about 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter so affords plenty of grip.

No safety squints needed
Despite numerous warnings about the spring in the 1911 my first time disassembling one I launched it clean over my shoulder. Luckily no damage but I figured I should pick one of these up so an eyepatch doesn't become part of my wardrobe. Simple and effective this makes removing the bushing easy and catches the spring. Similarly, assembly is easier with the larger 'ratchet' surface to compress the spring while tightening the bushing. Well made in durable plastic.

sarà che è facile ma a me non succede nulla
dalle immagini credo di aver eseguito lo stesso procedimento per lo smontaggio ma cumque continui a provare e riprovare non succede nulla lo bushing non si smonta necessito di istruzioni chiare e vorrei sapere se è idoneo per tutte le 1911 o per alcune no perché se la mia è tra queste lo vorrei restituire o almeno aver un rimborso
