Decent float

Once you figure out how to insert the inflatable portions (tubes) into the sleeves and then inflate it, the float itself is pretty decent. Its larger than most and seems to be well made and durable. I'm happy with it.

Disappointed

We have four of the pool hammocks purchased years ago, but they are getting worn and starting to fray so I thought it was time to order four new hammocks. I was disappointed this time because the pockets are much larger than the inflatable tubes and two days after inflating the tubes, they were out of air. I contacted Poolmaster to inquire about replacement tubes since the hammocks are not usable without them. Per their request, I sent them photos of the boxes and a print screen of my Amazon order showing four products purchased but have yet to receive a reply. Very disappointed with the quality of these new hammocks.

Sturdy and Comfortable

These are great! I'm 5ft 4inches and weigh approximately 180, my husband's 5ft 11inches and weighs about 190 and there were others with us that are all shapes and sizes - these hammocks worked for everyone. My tiny physically fit daughter who is 5ft 4inches and might weight 105lbs was able to bend her legs and rest her feel inside the hammock with her knees bent. The material is heavy duty, similar to a lawn chair and this protects the blow up tubes. The blow up tubes are a heavier material also than some of the kids toys I've seen. The backs of our knees hit the small floating tube end and our heads rested on the large floating tube. They are NOT intended for sunbathing because half our body was in the water and half was out of the water. They are great for cooling off, floating, relaxing and playing in the water. I could easily flip over on my stomach and move my body sideways so both tubes are on either side of me and float that way too. Very comfortable and fairly easy to get on to. Plenty wide for my plump body The only draw backs are: no cup holder, no loop to tie off to the boat and no straps for carrying. I'm sewing in some loops and a strap using lawn chair webbing and Velcro. They were well worth their price and I figure if ever the tubes do get a hole, I'll just replace them with swim noodles.

Couple tweeks to make it just right.

First. It's advertised as XXL. I am over 6ft tall. Legs hang over the edge and if you blow up the head rest to full size your chin will be in your neck. Let some air out of the headrest and your ok. I am in 95 degree climate so I got this thinking it would be much much longer due to the XXL advertised size. It is not for people over 6ft tall but works to keep most of your body wet under the water which is what I wanted due to the extreme heat. I see myself using it more in the winter months when it is in the 80s here. Other then that, the blow ups are tough to get in but that keeps them in and even though they are the same length, 1 is larger in diameter for the head so keep that in mind when blowing up. I had to switch them after I found this out the hard way. Also partially fill the air bags before trying hard to stuff it all the way in the ends. All in all it is well made and works just like I expected it to except I surely would have preferred more length due to my height. Happy swimming!

Best Pool Float Ever!

My son gave us one of these about five years ago and my husband and I quickly decided we needed another. We leave them in the pool all summer and they have barely faded after all that time and are still in perfect condition. The are small to store and don't cover half the pool surface if you leave them floating. You can even easily take them on vacation and they aren't intrusive in the pool. Best of all - these are comfortable! They support you well while keeping enough of you in the water to be cool. No plastic surfaces to make you hot or sticky - the mesh allows air and water to flow while protecting the inflatable portions from rips or punctures. Easily would work for larger and smaller people. I can read or nap on it. If you fall asleep, you do not have to worry about flipping over or falling off. Super easy to get on and off of and only takes a few breaths to inflate. I bought this third one because my husband discovered that you can use two at a time to "sit up" more or add support, put under your feet, etc., although one is more than sufficient.

Update to: Frustrating beyond belief to "assemble"!!

Everything I stated below is still true! However: It may look pretty bad to get it to work (cutting / opening both ends) BUT once you do get it to work, it's pretty cool (pun intended) in the water to sit/float on. So let's move it to 3 stars simply because if you take out the frustration of getting it to work with its poor manufacturing, once you are finally in the water...! Send it back before you even try to place the air tubes into the top and bottom of this POS. If you do decide to keep it look CLOSELY at the "opening" on one side (it's almost closed!) Only a child's arm could get in there to move the air tube. (that's right the air tubes are not in the hammock!! They come separately. ) best of luck trying to do this. My tip: cut both ends of the hammock (carefully) with a heavy duty shears in order for an adult to push / pull from both ends. Next tip: under NO circumstances even partially inflate the air bladders before it is completely inserted and not folded over itself. Great idea, lousy foreign manufacturing.

XXL perfect for bigger people

I am loving this! I am 5'8 and almost 300 lbs. It is so easy to get in and out of!! And anyone of size, knows trying to heave yourself onto a float (without dunking yourself several times) can be down right embarrassing! And once your on it, there is plenty of room on either side. I have tried SO many floats (from expensive to cheap) and I always go back to just using a pool noodle under my knees and back. So, this thing is perfect! I am ordering a second one today. When I first got it, I was worried that the fabric seemed like it might be scratchy - but it is not AT ALL. And I initially made the mistake of not realizing the 2 blow-up tubes are different sizes. I had the smaller one in the bigger tube area and thought it was weird. But once I corrected it - awesome! Buy it.

Insert the pillows before blowing up, and you never need to do it again. Super easy for travel.

Great for relaxing in the water!

This is so much nicer than an air mattress for floating around and relaxing in the water because your body is submerged in the water, keeping you cool on these hot summer days, yet your head and your lower legs are above the water. I use it to float around the cove in our lake after I have gone for my daily swim. I can even put my sun hat and sun glasses on and totally relax, almost to the point of falling asleep! You are very secure floating on this. I just love it!

Love these!

Bought one a year ago for myself and my husband was jealous so I got him one, too. Floated away our worries in Cuba. I put them in the washing machine when we get home to make sure all salt and chemicals clean off-no problem! Fold and pack well and are very light!
