So happy with first one, got a second unit.
This worked out so well for first child that we got a second one when our second child was born. Couldn't be happier. It just works. No fiddling around with wifi or an app on your phone. Turn it on, it pairs, and you have ears in your kids room. We have both nanit and hatch and prefer these because they are more reliable and significantly faster.

Reliable device
This is the second Philips unit I own, after having used another one that was gifted by a fiend (which stopped charging after 5 years of use). This unit is reliable! No bells and whistles but the core functionality is flawless. Day vision is good, night vision is ok, sound is ok if you adjust the sensitivity, camera pans and there is digital pan and zoom), range is good and it never drops connection while in range. Battery life is awesome (hours on both live video and audio). I trust this device with the safety of my baby day and night. Price is a bit steep compared to other devices on the market but it’s the price I’ve agreed to pay to ensure my little one is always safe and sound.

Works as described, missing a few nice to have features though.
Very solid product and works exactly as described. Was looking for a replacement to an older version of the product from this same manufacturer but could not find it available anywhere. What the previous version had (and this one is missing) was a temperature reading for the room where child is sleeping as well as a lullaby music option. So it does function very well and as described, but these are valuable options to have if you're in the market.

Good for nighttime
I really like the fact that the parent monitor only turns on when there is sound! We use it overnight, being that our rooms are on opposite ends of the house, so it's nice that it doesn't produce noise all night long. The white noise machine does not activate it, but someone slamming the garage door on the other side of the house will, so it's pretty sensitive to sound. We can hear him even when he grunts or mumbles to himself. I have not tried using the parent monitor with batteries yet, but love that it's an option.

Simple
Buying this as a gift. Very simple not many features. I tried it. Quite clear and sensitive. Hope the couple like it.

Okay product
Not that loud and takes quite a few try to connect to each other. Eventually it connects and its fine then. Also the battery doesn't last long.

Works with Wi-Fi. could be louder
First I don’t have a baby. I can’t hear my apt bell in another room when I’m in office with ac on and door closed. I leave baby unit plugged in in bell room and parent unit in office. Works well. Could use more volume. On high volume fan noises give static of and on. Sensitivity good. Goes thru one wall. Works with Wi-Fi which another cheaper unit didn’t. Note it doesn’t use Wi-Fi it just works when you have Wi-Fi.

A must have!
We love this baby monitor! We initially just bought the Nooie monitor but didn’t want to have the app open on our phones constantly - it killed our phone batteries. With this monitor, we were able to continuously monitor and when we heard a sound from this monitor we could check the camera monitor on our phones! Also does a really good job at not just picking up the white noise machine

Philips never again!
Cons: 1- Very narrow lens. If you want to see the whole crib you need to instal it on the ceiling. If you leave it standing on some furniture around the crib you will probably see half of your baby (if he/she doesn’t move at all). 2- Image out of focus. It could be a problem just on my device but the image was a bit blurred. The the screen is not great, so don’t expect image quality. 3- There is a strong green led light in front of the camera and a red light around the lens. It is very strong! The room supposed to be dark but the designer of this product decided that it was a good idea to put a “flashlight” pointing to a baby’s face all night long. 4- The temperature alarm is LOUD. I mean, it’s really really loud. If this thing goes on in the the middle of the night you will think the house is on fire! And doesn’t matter if you have it on the lowest volume. 5. I accidentally hit a music button and a stupid lullaby started to play super loud on the camera. My baby woke up crying extremely scared. At that moment I thought about to smash this terrible product with a sledgehammer. 6- It’s very expensive for what it is. I am packing it up and returning it for a refund. Philips is a brand that I know from the past and I used to like it. This single product changed my opinion about everything they make, specially anything for babies and kids. Philips in my house never again! Pros: the monitor has good looking design (the camera not so much). That’s all.

Great monitor; lots of features
Edit: I wrote a review before saying that the video was terrible and there must be something wrong with the new model. I then discovered that I never took off the plastic film over the camera!!! How terribly embarrassing… New review: We bought this for our second child after having the same one for our first. Great monitor and love being able to see the room temp right on the screen! 5 stars!

Ne jamais acheté ce produit
Nous avons des problèmes avec cet appareil depuis le début. Le moniteur affiche de façon aléatoire autant dans le jour que la nuit que la caméra est débranchée alors que tout est super bien branché (autant moniteur que la caméra) et qu'il n'y a aucune interférence. Nous avons contacter la compagnie à de nombreuses reprises. Nous avons fait tous les resets nécessaires avec eux. Ils nous ont envoyé un nouvel appareil, mais a encore le même problème. La compagnie et amazon refusent de nous rembourser, nous sommes TRÈS DÉÇUS. Ce n'est pas normale de ne pas avoir confiance en ce qu'on devrait le plus pour protéger notre petit Être si précieux. NE JAMAIS ACHETER CE PRODUIT.

Software bug in latest version of monitor causes the camera to crash and needs to be power cycled.
We really liked this baby monitor with our first kid so we purchased a second one a couple years later. This newer version has a bug where the camera crashes and you need to unplug it to get it to work again. This is not an isolated incident either, friends of ours also purchased this monitor and are having the same issues.
