Best price with subscription

I became the proud litter box parent to a cat that moved into our home during a week long vacation. We have three other cats that use a pet door to go outside and do their business. I hate dealing with litterboxes, yuk. The machine that works with this tray setup gives us two weeks of clean litter box for one cat. I would not go any longer than two weeks, although SafePet website says, "One month for a single cat." Two weeks, you can tell there is a litter box in your house. This system is scentfree, but their are several scent choices to choose from. We do not like any scented products, and buy scentfree where possible. The cost for a three-pack is a $15 savings. We were purchasing the trays from TSC for $24.95. Overall it's a good product and great price. The cat is a senior cat that someone dropped off in our neighborhood. A few vet visits, and good grooming, he is now part of our family.

Quick and Easy, Clean-Up required only every few weeks

I love having a cat, but cleaning out the litter box is easily the worst part about it. Getting the PetSafe Scoop Free litter box and litter refills has been so great! Rather than having to clean out the box and dispose of the waste every day or sometimes multiple times a day, this allows you to go for a few weeks without having to clean up. I only have one cat so under most circumstances I can go for about 3 weeks before having to swap out the litter pans. If you have more cats then you'll probably need to do this more frequently and it honestly may not be quite as cost effective. But for me with just one cat it is great. One of the great things about these pans are that they really are odor free. Once the machine does its work and pushes the poop into the storage area there really is no smell. It also does a great job of absorbing urine and once again eliminating the smell. I would highly recommend this, but again if you have 3+ cats, it might not be the best solution for you, as it could end up being quite expensive.

Works great, but like stepping on shards of glass

I bought the litterbox these fit on an auction site really cheap, so I thought I would go ahead and give them a try. They aren't cheap, and at first I was hesitant to try. But boy are these a game changer. We used to have to change out the pee pad and scoop it every week. And it always stank. These last a month and I can't smell a thing unless I get right on top of it. And changing is a breeze, just lift, replace, and toss the old one away. The only drawback is that if any of the litter gets transferred to the floor by the cat, stepping on it barefoot is painful. The litter is like glass.

Litter-ally a Lifesaver

I have bad ADHD so cleaning litter boxes can be a nightmare for me to remember and actually do. But these trays make it so easy. They last my single cat almost a full month, take 2 minutes to replace, don’t leave dust behind, and contain the smell well. I’ve used these trays for years now and don’t see myself switching anytime soon. By far the best litter product I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried a lot as both a cat mama and a pet sitter). My only complaint is that the crystals can hurt to step on with bare feet if one somehow gets out and is particularly pointy.

No more cleaning!

Overall I love this product. It is the best not having to clean our cat's littler manually everyday. The litter is good for one cat for almost 4 weeks. One thing that I would say is that by the end of 3 and 1/2 weeks there is a smell that tells you time to change!

Disposable

I discovered automatic cat litter boxes a few months ago and I buy these to replace the litter "box". No more litter boxes that are hard to clean. Just replace your box every few weeks (I try to go 3 weeks for multiple cats) and just put them in the trash. Very convenient.

A little stinky after a few days.

My cats love their new electric litter box, we buy this crystal litter since we bought it and kitties love it. I wish it masked the smell better. It lasts about 4-5 days (2 litters for 2 cats) then you can smell it.

Love this system for cat litter .

The litter box for two cats remains odor free for 1 week. This is shorted that what the company tells you. It is a bit pricey for the period of time that it is usable. Non the less, I use it because it is clean, does not require daily maintenance, and easy to change.

20-30 days my arse!

I have one cat in good health, and these cartridges tend to work well for about 7-10 days, rather than the 20-30 promised. The smell of cat pee then becomes overpowering very quickly. After shelling out over £100 for the litter box (which does work really well), you kind of feel obliged to keep buying the refills. When I bought them for the first time, they were £11.95 (for 1, even though there is a picture of 6 on Amazon - read the ad carefully fellow shoppers - grrrrr), the price was recently hiked up tp £16.95 overnight. I feel that I'm throwing good money after bad, and unless the price comes down drastically, I'm going to have to look for an alternative solution.

Somethings changed

I’ve had a scoopfree box for over 5 years now. The last few trays have been a drastic change. For my two cats, I used to be able to easily make it 2 weeks or more without any odor/having to change. I now have to change in a week or less before the ammonia smell is borderline overwhelming, the tray itself leaks on the bottom now when I have never had this issue before and the price has gone up by about $5 per tray. I have two older cats so I was worried about them, took them to the vet just to find out they were perfectly healthy and weren’t the culprit here. Disappointed as a long time customer to say the very least.

Long time customer, and litter isn't the same as it used to be

Been buying ScoopFree litter for over a year now and something has changed with their litter. It no longer absorbs urine like it used to, litter stays wet and doesn't dry - creating an extremely strong amonia smell that's so bad I thought my cat had a UTI. Took her to the vet only to discover everything is fine. After reading recent reviews and seeing other people are having similar issues means I'm not the only one experiencing this. Absolutely ridiculous since it keeps going up in price, the litter is nowhere near as affective and doesn't last as long. My cat uses it about 40 times before it needs to be thrown out vs 60-70 before they changed their recipe.

I initially loved these but then the prices went up astronomically and we couldn't afford them anymore. Especially because we have two cats and despite what it says about the time it will last, we had to change it every 6 days. Became far too costly. Traditional litter and scoop is cheaper and just as effective.

Very good

If you have the scoop free litter and yo purchase this tray you already know that scoop free is an excellent product. The reason I put three stars is that I can't use the crystals, my cat hates them, prefers to use the floor instead if there is no clumbing litter, secondly there is the forever tray in the market but I isn't available in the U.K.
