Great Fix

I broke the pump to my cat’s water fountain and this was an inexpensive fix that saved me from having to buy a whole new fountain.

Great pump for the Katz

The Katz manage the humanz household in these parts. They requested a new pump pronto when their old one "went to the dogs". This one fits perfect and is much quieter for better cat napping. This human servant to Haus Katz says to flush the pump out with fresh water before installing. Plastic residue is not for drinking, we humanz live to serve, you know... FYI - These pumps can be serviced by those lesser beings with opposable thumbs (sayz the haus katz). There is a video on the Drinkwell website that explains the process. Clean it first before replacement fellow humans.

Replacement Pump

I have the Drinkwell Water Fountain for my cats. After a while the pump will need to be replaced. I think they redesigned it. It seems to be quieter and works better.

We use this pump for our dog fountain. Our last one lasted 3 year's! That's great considering it didn't get cleaned as often as it should. Price is good too.

Good pumps but make sure to clean them

If yours stops working, take it out of the unit and keep it plugged in. Now tap, knock it on the side a few times and it should come back to life. I think the magnet that rotates the motor ends up in a position that means it sometimes doesn't spin and seems broken, it isn't - just give it a little knock to get it going again. Also, clean the thing and inspect how it comes apart as you can dismantle more than you first expect with a bit of care. It'll be gunked up if not cleaned regulary.

This pump needs to be dismantled to be cleaned otherwise you may think it stopped working!

I bought this pump in Feb 2019, we are now in October and it appears to have stopped working. It is rubbish I thought but in looking at you tube I saw a video by accident (PetSafe—How to Clean the Drinkwell Fountain Pump ) which explains that the pump comes apart and should be cleaned inside! Well no wonder it wasn't working. It was really dirty. I threw the last one away and that was probably because it was dirty! Thank god it works again now. Good product.

WARNING - Supplied with non UK transformer plug!!!

I'm not sure which idiot thought it was a good idea to ship this product to the UK with a non UK transformer plug but they need to be sent back to the village they came from! Fortunately, in my case, it was my pump that was broken, not the transformer plug, so I was able to use the existing transformer plug. The new pump itself works fine! However, it might have been different and the product would have been useless.

Replacement pump for Petsafe Platinum Cat Water Fountain - last one lasted 4.5 years. Works as it is supposed to with no noise from the pump. Exactly the same as the previous pump so fits perfectly.

Good but careful not to run dry

These pumps are great but I just wish they had a cutout when the water runs out. Ive burnt out a few of these over the last 4 years because of this feature not being available.
