Good for Penn Plax on a solo turtle habitat

Works for my turtle's Penn Plax. I use them and toss them, the cost isn't too pricey to replace them so I don't feel like I need to push their lifetime in the machine. They fit for the most part, but could be a tiny bit larger to really help catch more junk. Overall a good purchase for my set up and will buy again.

Crystal clear water

These are the same thickness as the ones that came with my filter. I am trying to keep my turtle water changes to once a month, so I put one of these in each of my three filter baskets in addition to the 2 charcoal packs and one bio sponge. (I have the Cascade 1000 filter). It has been one month since I last changed the filter and my water is still crystal clear with no smell. Since this is the first time I have used three of these at once, I am going to wait until the water starts to cloud before I change. It would be nice to get that extra week out of each change to save a little money and time. I will keep you posted.

These floss pads do exactly as they say. When used in a properly setup filter, they leave you with clean, clear water. I personally can't get QUITE crystal clear water, but I think that's because I have two turtles, and turtles are messy, messy creatures compared to fish. I can say that every week when I clean my filter out, these have a massive amount of gross caught in them, so I can say that they are doing their jobs very well. I usually rinse them out and reuse them once or twice, but after that, they start to wear out, and get matted down, which I believe reduces their effectiveness. They're cheap enough in bulk that I don't worry about the cost.

Different

The pads work functionally the same, but it's a knock off of actual Penn Plax, with different packaging. There are only 5 floss pads, not 6.

Perfect replacement

For how infrequent these need to be replaced, this is the best and easiest solution. Swap out during filter cleaning and good to go. Perfect replacement in my Cascade 1000.

La photo de vente ne correspond pas a l'article que je recherche je ne trouve plus de filtre pour les bioflax cascades 1200sur la boîte 500 il ne seront probablement pas de la bonne taille ????

I've had others tell me I could just use floss ...

I've had others tell me I could just use floss from a craft store in my canisters, but quite honestly - nothing replaces the real deal. I prefer these over the floss I have.

Usually everything arrives okay, however this box only had 5 filters in it like shown in the photo. Really weird they'd miss that and not ideal as you need 3 of them each filter replacement time ending up with only enough for 1 filter replacement.
