Absolutely love it!

I love this backpack! It has plenty of space for snacks, a sweater and other miscellaneous things I always carry on hikes all while having 2.5 liters of water. It’s very comfortable and lightweight! The magnet clip across the chest makes it so easy to take off and on. It’s a strong magnet so it doesn’t pop off on its own. This backpack has made my hiking adventures so much better!

Great bag after one tiny alteration!

EDIT: I pulled the “board” for lack of better terms, out of the back of the bag. I discovered there is a velcro opening where you can yank it out. This board gives the bag shape. It was made out of a layer of hard plastic and a layer of foam. I was able to carefully pull the plastic and foam apart. The plastic was thick, and hard as rock, and was definitely the reason for my discomfort/the rigid fit. I put the foam back in by itself and it’s like night and day! It fixed the problem. I have been on several hikes since, including some more strenuous hikes in RMNP. I went from hating this bag to loving it. Every aspect of the bag fit better, and the magnetic mouthpiece behaved after I made the alteration. I am changing my review from 2 stars to 4 stars simply because I can’t understand why the plastic was there in the first place. It’s worth the purchase if you like a good rucksack, and don’t mind altering the bag a little. This pack killed my shoulders on a 9 mile hike. There was lots of scrambling involved. Every time I reached to scramble, the magnetic mouthpiece came loose. SUPER annoying when you’re hiking all day. This bag held everything I needed, but I’ve never used a more uncomfortable bag. I was wearing 4 layers and it still managed to rub marks into both of my shoulders. I might consider using this pack on a shorter hike, but man, am I disappointed! Don’t let the aesthetic of this bag get you. It sucks.

Side pocket easily holds my iPhone Plus

I saw a review wondering why the side pockets have a hole at the top and also along the side. When you are wearing the pack, it is much easier to reach back and pull out your phone using the access along the side of the pocket. Love the pack but do wish there were more outside pockets.

Fit is great

I’m a 5’ 2” 125 lb woman. Any bag that’s longer than this one would be too big. I just do day hikes, so this is perfect. It has the features I really need without spending a ton of money. I don’t know how may websites I was on to find a bag that fit my small frame.

Comfortable with extra space

I bought this backpack for my daughter for a hiking trip at Mt. Ranier. It fit her well. She is petite so many of the other packs we considered were too big to fit comfortably The pack held enough water and also had plenty of additional space for food and extra clothes.

Inside of bag

Would be nice if the inside of bag had sewn in loops/tags to be able to use to hook items such as keys or other items.

Outdated version of the hydraulic bladder

I had to force the bladder open, it seemed to be heat/factory sealed. Also the hydration pack seems to be an older model, the tube does not come apart in the middle and there was no cap for the bite nozzle.
