Great quality!

These are such great quality! They are a good weight too - they won't be crushed if a child or adult sits on them and they aren't so heavy that they'll dent the floors or walls if thrown. They do have a slight rubbery texture to them, which collects dog hair easily, but quick run water of it and the hair falls off. The bushel basket and blue basket are very sturdy too. Just to note, all the pieces do not fit into the blue basket. You'll need to fill up both the bushel basket and blue basket to store the pieces (or find another storage solution). The blue basket full of food fits in the bottom portion of our Ikea play kitchen (without removing a shelf). The foods are larger than the super cheap Kid Kraft pretend foods set, but you can still fit 2-4 pieces of pretend food into the KidKraft metal pan set. The 32 pieces were more than plenty for my 18 month old, so I ended up filling up the bushel basket with food and giving it to Grandma daycare. She loves the quality too! My parents have pretend plastic food from when I was growing up that have lasted 25+ years of playing in the dirt & sunlight. These are even better quality than those! I can see these lasting for decades to come. Overall, worth the money! Such a great set of pretend food!

Pricey but great quality

I like that all food groups are represented and that this comes with the two baskets - lots of possibilities for learning and play! These aren't made of flimsy plastic like some other play food, and so far they've stood up great to a rough preschooler and a teething baby. My daughter likes making sandwiches and stirring the ingredients in her toy pots and pans.

Great food pieces! Be careful of paint chipping.

These are so fun and will definitely last longer than the cheaper kinds of play food. Everything's a good size so I don't worry about choking hazards. Only flaw is that the yogurt cup paint has been chipping. Specifically the 'yogurt' part. Other than that, great play food set.

Good quality and detail

I really like this brand for play food. This set in particular has a lot of the staples and makes play kitchen fun! Will note that the box has a misprint - the set does not come with berries as pictured.

Perfect amount of food for playtime!

Ok, so I didn’t take the best pictures because I didn’t think I was going to do a review. I did a lot of research because I didn’t want to buy a bunch of toy food that never gets played with. This set is very high quality and nothing like the cheap lots you normally get that collapse when you squeeze them. When I was taking it all out I liked everything but the juice box. It just looked plain and not needed, well guess what my daughters favorite thing out of this set is??? Yep, the juice box. Haha. She is just shy of 2 years old and this toy has helped her with saying and recognizing different food items. My god son came over (he is 7) and loved this, he had a hard time sharing he liked it so much and would take our order and serve us up different things. It’s a really good set for the price and you won’t get all the extra unnecessary stuff that will just break and take up space.

High quality

The media could not be loaded. Wanted good quality food toys to help teach baby the different foods. These are definitely the best! Price point - a bit expensive (only reason I docked a star) for toys but they are pretty realistic compared to other brands. The plastic is thick and soft making it easy to grab for little fingers. Comes with shopping basket and fruit basket. Will order the other baskets eventually. Overall really happy I ordered these and I know they will last a long time!

Very high quality children's play food

I bought this for my toddler and will give it to her for Christmas. I took a peek and the quality looks just amazing and the box is durable for storage. Learning Resources has gained my trust as a manufacturer of high quality educational good and I know when I buy from their brand the stuff will be nice and not garbage. I like that this food set has lots of fruits and veggies, as well as some snack foods, but isn't all hot dogs etc. I think her and her siblings will have lots of fun playing store and restaurant. I honestly recommend their products and think highly of their brand.

Surprisingly awesome quality

Surprisingly good quality. Plastic isn’t hard and crushable, but somewhat soft and squishable, always returns to its shaped. Had it delivered to my work place and everyone was impressed with detail and durability. Not going to lie, 3 adults were playing with them for a bit...

Niece and Nephew like them!

I bought these for my niece and nephew's Ikea play kitchen. These pieces are great - not hard plastic, a little flexible, sized for little hands, nicely coloured. They seem to be good quality. The salami-cheese-tomato-ice-cream-t-bone-sandwich my niece made me was delicious!
