Amazing size

One side has more of a grip to hold the fabric a bit better and my favorite thing is more of a distinguished line for the 1/4 in for seam allowance. And that’s perfect for quilting with a pattern to get a good view of what will show and what will be in the seam

Helpful tool

This is very helpful for squaring up half square triangles made from 5" charm packs. But...it does tend to slip, so be careful. I put grippers on the bottom which helped but I still have to use a firm grip.

My Preferred Brand

I have a preference about what brand of ruler and I have a lot of Omnigrid rulers as generally being easy to see through, good contrast, and convenient sizes. I rarely work with yellow, black, or the light lime green most Omnigrid are marked with. This one is a little hard to see through with the very fine markings but for very small work it is a lot easier and less guesswork to line up with this ruler. The 4.5" square is good for working in 2" and 4" finished squares and strip work-and more suited for your fine whack trimming. Best use I've found for this size is truing up HST-finished size 4"... and will speed your work up a LOT. Hangup hole is nice too.

A quilting need

Another example of quick service and a reasonably priced item. The uneven patches someone donated became a baby quilt with the help of this item!

Useful to cut down half square triangle squares to exact suze.

Omnigrip do tend to slip a little. This size is easy to manage. I used it to cut my half square triangle squares to exact size having made them slightly larger. I find this gives me really accurate pieces which go together perfectly.
