well worth it!
After the extended debate over the cost to value ratio and line counter reels, this product is the best of both worlds! Cost and performance abound. Small enough for trolling for kokanee yet tough enough for salmon fishing. Multiple rods on a boat , whether anchored or trolling, means you need to know exactly whose line is where and at what depth to avoid tangled lines, also it can readily repeated when the fish are being finicky and in a specific pattern. If you have ever thought along these lines,(no pun intended), of line counter reels yet were intimidated by the cost , this reel just may be the start you are looking for! I can see another Okuma Magda Pro reel in my future! Gotta' have one for my misses, ya' know?! Well worth it!

Going to Canada
Bought a brand new troling real last year from Cabelas befor my trip to Canada. The drag failed the first day of the trip. I talked to some friends and they suggested this real because of it's ruggedness and its multi disk star drag. The modle 20 is a nice size but not to big. So far it works good in shallow water but will give it the real test in Quebec in August. I don't think it will let me down like my other reals.

Exactly what I was looking for! Great price!
I love this reel! Paired with an Okuma classic GLT trolling rod and 20lb. Braid, this reel is critical for dipsy diver fishing. I use it to fish out and away from my downrigger rod and the reel is very accurate and strong. Will be ordering more.

OK reel for the price
Bought this for kokanee trolling. Still works good after a 7 day fishing trip and several big kokanee. Not as smooth as a more expensive reel, but Ok for the money. Drag tends to loosen up on its own so keep checking it.

GREAT REEL. LOW PRICE.
Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you don't. In this case, you get much more than you pay for..a reel with a smooth drag, an accurate line counter, nice clicker, 5.1:1 retrieve, and perfect size for river or lake trolling. I bought this as a result of using one when fishing on my friend's boat and can't wait to break it in on a 20 pound plus salmon.

Good reel smooth cant cast 5 ft with it a little disappointed in that also the screw hole that holds the reel handle on was stripped when I got it and line counter is in accurate right now I'm up in the air as so if I would purchase another one

Me parece excelente y de buena calidad, sobre todo me llego super rápido, el único detalle es que yo practico la pesca de casting, pero incursionaré en el troleo solo para probarlo,, excelente para presumirlo jeje... SALUDOS...!!!
