Good bar of soap, not much scent but good lather
Other commenters have mentioned the ... subtle sandalwood scent. It is so subtle I can’t detect it at all. However it seems like a perfectly good bar of black soap, it lathers well and cleans thoroughly. Everyone’s skin is different but I find it to be a little drying to the skin, more so than the Shea Essentials African soap you see at Walgreens. I live in the south so I think this soap going to prove useful for hot, humid days when deep cleaning is needed, maybe alongside some mildly scented body wash.

Messy, doesn't have a smell, dissolved quickly
I read this soap is great for acne and fading acne marks/scarring. I can't really speak on that because my dermatologist put me on cera ve and spironolactone for my acne at the same time that I started using this soap. The soap came on time, and was packaged well, it didn't have a smell to it at all other than just what african black soap smells like, don't buy it for the scent because you'll be disappointed. It's very messy and will leak all over everything in your shower or tub so just be aware of that in advance. I got a soap saver body sponge exfoliating thingy to help mitigate some of that messy, and make it last longer, but the bar of soap disintegrates very quickly. Honestly, if I do it again, I'll just go ahead and buy the Shea moisture african black soap bar, as it smells nice, isn't as messy, and lasts longer in my opinion. Also I found this soap dries your skin out alot, so only use it like once or twice a week to start out. It's not the worst soap by any means, I just think there are better options out there, I won't be buying this product again.

Exfoliates, Tones, Its Amazing!
There isnt a good or bad smell, exfoliates as you rub on your skin, smoothes the mess out of my body, leaves me feeling clean. I used it 3x a week because I personally dont like the rough texture on my skin too often but it helps to kill dead skin off noticeably and the bar holds together and doesn't breakdown. It does let off a red brown tint residue stain so make sure to rinse your tub or shower out thoroughly after each use.

Very surprising
Its a good soap. But don't use directly on skin. It will leave scratch marks. Its really gritty. So I recommend using a wash cloth when using this soap.

Squeaky clean face!
Love this soap!!! I was running low on my black soap and bought this because I wanted to try scented. This didn’t smell like lavender at all but cleans super well just like it should. Good, fresh product.
