extra trays

They don’t make them like they used to

I have the 13.5” diameter Nesco Professional Food & Jerky Dehydrator. I purchased two of these trays for it and they fit perfectly, although there are some differences. First, they are a light grey color with grey/blue speckles. My original trays are an off white with grey/blue speckles. Secondly, they do not have the crown-shaped vertical center spokes surrounding the small hole in the center that my original trays have, although this appears not to affect the function or stacking ability. Finally, it is lighter weight and less sturdy overall. There are fewer spokes, which results in the spaces between each spoke being larger. There are very few things for which I wouldn’t want to use an extra mesh screen on the tray to keep food from falling through the cracks. All in all, the trays will function, but I do wish they were the same as my original trays. My dehydrator is at least 10 years old though, so perhaps this is simply how the new ones are made. Possibly if your machine is newer they will match.

Perfect replacement part

A couple of the original rings started to break apart after many years of frequent use. These are the exact same rings and are working perfectly so far.

Perfect fit!

Have an old American harvest snackmaster dehydrator that I primarily use for beef jerky. These trays fit perfectly with the existing ones and allow me to dry a larger quantity.

One tray has an incomplete mesh, as if insufficient plastic was injected into the mold. (It still probably works.)

Glad To Find But Pricey

My dehydrator is quite old, so I was very glad to find replacement trays that fit. I wasn't pleased to only find them in gray, instead of the white the machine came with, especially since the description listed them as white and then as gray. Very confusing. I was able to find mats and rollup sheets as well but again they are a darker color than the original that came with the machine. I think the manufacturer needs to do a better job of identifying what products their accessories will fit as I had to spend a lot of time trying to identify which trays and liners would work for my dehydrator.

Hard to clean.

Seemed a little pricey for what they are. Wished the mats came with them so the foods didn't fall through. I am used to square trays for easier loading but the machine itself works pretty good.

Serviceable, minor cosmetic issue.

These add-on trays certainly fit and do the job, but do have some interior warping that is not present in the original trays that came with the dehydrator. Warping of the interior web makes these trays cosmetically-challenged, but did not affect stacking with other trays, or arranging of food on them. The webs are light enough that the weight of the food flattened them out (only) while the dehydrator was in use. No functional impact. Would buy again.

Work just fine with my Dehydrator

These trays are not exactly like the trays I got with the dehydrator but they fit just fine and work really well. I also bought silicone mats to go on them and that keeps them from getting sticky stuff on them because all of these plastic trays are a bit flimsy - even the ones that come with the dehydrator.

Fit perfectly

These fit my Nesco FD-75A dehydrator perfectly. There is a slightly different colour to them, but I could care less, I only care about the fit, and they're exactly like the trays that came with my dehydrator. I just love how this unit is modular, that was a big selling point for me when I bought it, along with the performance and value that it really shines with.
