Great brand dog toy

Turned out to be smaller then same brand toys of this same size. The spikes are larger hence the inner root is smaller. If wanting for a medium dog get the round ones of this size

it works!

was so pleased to receive a dog toy that does what it is advertised to do (have had problems with dog-toy orders lately). he absolutely loves it! the texture, the cleverly-hidden squeaker, and the light-up feature that keeps flashing red awhile when it hits the floor. I see that it comes in random colors; he got the brown one that looks like a football. is the second day and still going strong (quite a feat for a 2yr old wildchild furbaby with little-man syndrome). will update when I see just how long it lasts... update - over 6 weeks now. the 'cleverly hidden' squeaker has been found and dealt with, but lights are still flashing. even tho squeaker is silenced, he still gets off on the sound of air rushing thru the leftover hole when squeezed :)

Not meant for super chewers

If your dog likes to chew this is not for you. With a few minutes the spikes where chewed off and a hole was put in it and we have a Frenchie/pug mix.

Good size for our Jack Russell

The size sounds kinda big, but it is literally from the end of a spike on one end to the other. They are actuallty almost small. They are a good value, and they last a while - our Jack Russell chews most products endlessly until he gets to the squeeker or light and destroys it - but not so far for this product. I seems to represent a challenge that keeps him occupied for an hour or so at a time, but not long enough to tear it up.

Great toy and function

My puppy loves this toy for teething, and playing fetch. Great quality product, the ball bounces really high and the lights are still going even after a month of use. I'm thinking to get another one for backup. :)

My dogs love this toy. The light didn't last long. The squeak lasted longer. As long as it bounced they were happy. Perhaps its the texture? Reasonable price. Off to buy another 2.

Your Dog Will Go Crazy Over This .... But Get the Right Size!

The media could not be loaded. We first purchased the 3.5" Squeak and Light Football for our dog and she absolutely went CrAzY for this toy. The 3.5" size was good for our 12 LB cockapoo but we though it was a bit small. Our dog thinks she's a big dog and likes large bones and chew toys. When I saw they make a 4.5" inch squeak and light football I ordered it the next day thinking our dog would like it even more ... I was wrong. *** Get the Right Size *** First off This Toy is AWESOME. If you're wondering which size to get 3.5 inch or 4.5 inch my advice would be to purchase the 3.5" size for dogs under 15 pounds and the 4.5 inch size for bigger dogs over 15 pounds. One (1) inch difference in size doesn't seem like much but there is a noticeable difference is overall diameter. *** Other Differences Between 3.5 and 4.5 Footballs *** Other than the overall size of the Footballs there are some other Key differences between the 3.5 and 4.5 balls. Softness: The 3.5 size football is softer and more pliable. It's easier to squish and squeeze. The 4.5 inch football is harder to squeeze and squish. Durability: The 3.5 size football has a thinner outer skin and smaller spikes. The 4.5 inch football has thicker, heavier gauge outer cover and thicker longer spikes. Squeaker and Light: The 3.5 inch football is easy to squeeze and squeak while the larger 4.5 inch football is harder to squeeze and squeak. The light in the smaller football was easier to activate by shaking the football and the light illuminated for much longer a period of time than the 4.5 inch size ball. It takes way more strength to squeeze and squeak the 4.5 inch football and we were disappointed that the light only activated when the football was impacted hard in your hand or when it hit the ground and the light only illuminated for 4-6 seconds. The light on the smaller football would stay lit for 10-15 seconds and was way easier to activate. *** RECOMMENDATION *** Overall this illuminated football is a huge hit and must have for winter walks in the dark. The light reflects in the snow and illuminates the area around the football ... our dog can't get enough! It's important to get the right size football for your dog. Under 15 lbs get the 3.5" size. Over 15 lbs get the 4.5 inch size. If your dog is a heavy chewer I would recommend the 4.5 inch size since it is more heavy duty and would last longer. In our experience the LED lights in the smaller football stayed lit longer and were easier to activate then the larger football. I don't know if this is just an anomaly or consistent between the sizes. Also you should know the LED Lights are motion or impact activated. There is no USB Charging port. I don't know how long the internal battery will last but the light is activated by motion or impact and only lights up for 10-20 seconds or until shaken or dropped again. Either the light is powered by a batter which will eventually die or it's a faraday charger and recharges the battery based on motion. Either was for $12-$15 this illuminated football is worth it. Oh Ya .... I forgot ... One more thing .... this football bounces like crazy and in irregular, unpredictable ways ... that just adds to the fun and excitement !!!
