Perfect for my awkward corner!
4 stars because the manufacturer seems responsive, and was thoughtful enough to create a video! Keep reading for details. While I love the practical design of this unit, I did encounter the same issues that others reported. So, at least I wasn't too surprised. Here's what you need to know: 1. I have assembled many items without help, including a full-sized loft bed, and know my way around foreign flat-pack instructions. Believe me when I say that these instructions are not detailed enough. DO separate each wooden item and identify them on the guide. NEXT, scan the QR code to see the YouTube video. It's fast, so i paused the video after each step. PAY ATTENTION to the locations of all grooves and drill holes (this will save you some pain later!) 2. Like others, my pack was missing pieces. Apparently the seller is good about fixing this. I felt that I didn't need them, but you have to discern your own comfort levels. Missing item [A] is the bar that joins the opposing sides of the bottom cabinet. The rotating platform stabilizes those walls, so no worries. Missing item(s) [B] are the wood dowels that divide the upper shelves. I actually have similiarly sized dowels, and was able to improvise a good fix.

Nice-Looking Cabinet, Shoddy Build Quality
It's been somewhat of an ordeal putting this thing together, so I want to provide some upfront warnings to anyone buying or assembling this thing. 1. I highly suggest buying from the manufacturer in case you're missing parts during assembly. MoNiBloom (the manufacturer) did eventually get me the parts I needed (sort of - they sent black screws instead of gold ones), but the fact that I ordered this cabinet from Amazon instead of ordering from MoNiBloom (also through Amazon) caused somewhat of a delay in me getting the parts I needed, since MoNiBloom couldn't confirm my order as quickly. 2. Pay very close attention to how the long, vertical side pieces are oriented. The short, horizontal slats should be on the outside, and you should have the edge furthest away from the dowel rod hole on all of the long, vertical side pieces oriented to make that edge the top. If you don't do this, then the bottom shelf will be useless for Blu-rays, as the dowel rods will be too high to touch the Blu-ray cases. I CAN'T STRESS POINT #2 ENOUGH. If you get this part wrong, then you'll need to almost completely disassemble this cabinet, as the shelves would all be upside-down if you tried to simply flip the top part of the assembly over, and you wouldn't be able to access the screws in the base without separating the top and bottom parts of the assembly from one another. So, I love the look of this cabinet for the most part. Problem is, the build quality is kind of shoddy, and the cabinet suffered various forms of damage, some of which looks like it happened at the factory and some of which looks like it happened during shipping. I do think some of this is fixable, however, so I don't expect to return the cabinet. Oh, and assembly is horrendously unintuitive. First off, the assembly instructions don't match the product for me. You'd think this was a mistake, but I honestly don't think so, as the instructions simply state that the instructions may differ for anything but the five-tier version of the cabinet, leading me to believe they seriously expect you to adapt the instructions to certain variants of this cabinet on your own. There are multiple problems with that. For starters, the piece count was completely wrong for me, so I couldn't check whether I had all the pieces, since the instructions are for a cabinet with a different number of tiers. As it turns out, I was missing five screws. Next, the cabinet design in the instructions is completely different from mine for certain pieces, making it very tricky to know which way certain pieces are supposed to be oriented. Further adding to my difficulty in assembling this thing, there're two holes between the various side pieces that're just of a different diameter compared to the similar holes on the same and other pieces. There are only two screw sizes, only one of which will work in that hole in terms of length, and the aforementioned two holes are just a little too large to even allow the screws to have ANY grip on them, forcing me to compensate by using epoxy to fill the holes and give the screws grip. Even better, I had to waste both included mixing nozzles included with the epoxy I bought, since the span of time I needed when assembling the cabinet a second time was more than the four minutes a single epoxy mixing nozzle would allow for. Not that I could've finished assembly right away, anyway, because the bottom slat for one of the side pieces was dislocated and mostly detached from the rest of the piece, probably during shipping. Rather than send the entire cabinet back, however, I used some epoxy to re-attach the piece. Regardless of how you attach these pieces, they feel needlessly fragile up against the top and bottom shelves, though, so make sure you don't tighten any screws too much. Speaking of epoxy, this cabinet has some of the messiest glue work I've ever seen on a piece of furniture. There's enough excess glue that much of it looks to be applied similarly to how you'd caulk the edge of something, and it looks terrible up-close. The panels also have splintering in various spots, as well as numerous surface scratches likely from the factory. Despite all this, I really do like the overall design and appearance of the cabinet, so I'm glad I mostly addressed the problems I was having and completed assembly and just have a nice, decently sturdy cabinet for my movies. I'll update my review if anything changes too radically. Definitely set your expectations for the worst on this one, though.

Very strong. Remember the shelves are of different heights.
This bookshelf is great. Remember to keep the tallest shelf at the bottom when setting it up. The instructions are not that great. Bamboo is pretty resilient so it can take the weight of the books. Much better than composite wood. Looks great overall, Go for it.

Very Nice Bookcase
Very nice bookcase. It is more than worth the price but the instructions on how to put it together is not very clear. They give you a code to look at the youtube video, but it is not very clear on what part they are using. We built it and then halfway noticed two of the pieces were mixed so had to redo it. Other than that, it is worth it. Good luck!

real bamboo, very sturdy
I got the biggest-sized one. this is as tall as your standard door frame! (yes I didn't look at measurements and check my place lol) but it's amazing; I'm just gonna need a ladder since I'm a 63" asian haha. I love that it's bamboo, and I love the smell of it (maybe that's just me haha). the shelves on the bottom are a pretty good size. I'm feeling pretty confident in longevity. it was pretty easy to assemble too. oh, definitely not a one-person job though, unless you can figure out a way to keep the sidings up so that it doesn't flex at the screw part. can't think of anything else to say about it right now. we'll see how it goes after putting books on it.
