Nice & solid but use your own screws

Just installed several. Great units & easy to install, if you throw away the screws. I upgraded to stainness steel deck screws, after wasting time to remove screws with stripped heads.

If you have the right tools and you measure before you buy, you will be just fine. Hit at least one wooden stud and use the metal sheet rock anchors (that flip open inside the wall) on the other end if there isn't a stud. Be sure to out the screw through the bracket before you push the anchor in the wall. you might need to have a helping hand to hold the bar while you tighten it. Pull the anchor outwards with a screw driver so it doesn't spin in the sheetrock hole. Drill the pilot holes in the stud to the full depth of the screw. Drill and impact driver helpful. Very sturdy - bought and installed a total of 3 - looks just like a regular towel rod.

Replaced my 55 year old grab bar

My old corroded grab bar from the 60s needed replacing. I wanted a more contemporary style but couldn't find one that matched the existing tile holes. I found this Moen grab bar and voila, the holes matched exactly; even the bar had same diameter. So, now I have an exact replica that's shiny and new! However, for it to fit the existing tile holes, I had to shorten the bar a little. (It's removable by loosening the hidden cap screws a bit ) My hubby used a pipe cutter blade. Although it's not a new contemporary style, I'm happy it fits!

Great deal for a nice-looking grab bar that doesn't look geriatric

This works well in my porcelain tile shower. 16" so affixes to studs. I feared that I did not want a lot of hardware in my shower to clean around, but my new shower floor has 12 x 24 inch tile instead of the small hex or square tile (with all the grout), so has a slight potential to be slick. I like having something to lean against when shifting weight to one leg to shave, etc. It looks more like a towel bar than a grab bar. Only concern is that with the screws open to water, they might rust, but guess I'd just have to replace them if they do. Other grab bars with covered screws look nicer so consider that, but for the big difference in cost, I think this one works well.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED FOR REPLACING OLD GRAB BARS

I ordered these to replace some old grab bars that were installed in my shower about 30 years ago. These bars were nearly an exact fit. I just had to trim a small piece from both bars very easily with a tube cutter. I got them installed in minutes. It turned out to be a perfect and easy install.

THE STATS CLAIM 60% OF OLD FOLKS FALL IN THE BATHROOM........SO I INSTALLED THESE..

GETTING A BIT DIZZY AT AGE 73....so I replaced the regular towel rods with these. These will be able to support and hold any adult easily..EASY TO GRIP..also use as a towel hanger/safety grip in one..THE SIZE WILL ATTACH ON 16 INCH CTRS!! SO SCREW INTO THE WALL STUDS..NOT A PLASTER WALL!! Long screws are provided. Look great..not like a old peoples shower bath..very trim and slim rods at a reasonable price..I also installed 3 more in the walk in shower a few years ago. On my reviews also read about a nice fold up shower seat..

Good replacement for existing grab bars

Easily installed to replace some old grab bars. The screws lined up exactly with the existing holes, and the bar was easily trimmed to length.
