It'a not brushed Gold
It is more of a copper color, not brushed gold or gold. That was super disappointing. Other than that it is a great product.

Simple, Clean, Elegant
The only downside to this (and any toilet paper holder like it), is that your wall needs to be level or else it won't rest as "cleanly" on the open end. Beyond that, something to be aware of is that the way that it attaches to the wall is different from many toilet paper holders in that the mount is not the classic vertically-screwed in holes and it instead uses two side-by-side holes. This may make using it as a replacement more annoying because you may need to patch the wall and possibly even paint it.

Nice to look at but bad design flaw
I mostly like this holder. It looks good, feels solid and the pivoting works well. However the design flaw is with the way it engaged when you lower it back down. The pivoting part just rests on the fixed part with no lip or locking mechanism. So when you pull on the toilet paper it pulls forwards off the rest instead of engaging solidly in the fixed part. Such an easy design flaw to fix but for some reason they have not.

Pretty study, and more or less toddler proof
I bought three of these because my toddlers were always pulling out, eating, and/or losing the springs and tubes for the TP holders in my house, and large Costco-size toilet paper rolls would rub against the base of the old TP holder. What I like about these: 1. These TP holders can hold any size TP roll without rubbing against the wall or the base. 2. They are really study, and come with decent wall anchors. They can withstand the weight of a small child pulling up on them. Plus, there's nothing to get lost because everything is attached to the wall. These have good weight and feel. Some notes: 1. Some reviewers noted there's play in the arm. Simple fix. As you can see from my photo, there's no play in mine. If its loose, note that there's an easily accessible screw visible from behind the hinge. Just tighten the screw with a screw driver until it's tight to your liking. I like mine stiff so it can't be spun. 2. The installation allows room for error. The wall mounting plates can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally when using the included wall anchors. So even if you don't drill your holes correctly, it's not a problem - unless you're really far off. Note though, if you use a wood screw to drill into the wall stud, there's no room for error. 3. This is designed a lot wider and bulkier than it need to be. If you have a small bathroom, this might not be the best choice TP holder. 4. The TP rolls really easy with this holder. If you have children who like to spin TP, some things you can do; squeeze the TP before sliding it in, so it doesn't roll very well; and slide the tp so it spins out closer to the wall - my children only like to spin stuff towards them, so this way the toilet paper doesn't come undone from the spinning.

Check the weight before you order!
I just received what I thought would be the best paper toilet holder in the history of toilet paper holders, only to return it instantly. :( The mounting bracket was stuck in the mounting base and I couldn't get it out, which pushed my hand, but that's not the reason I decided not to get an exact replacement. The reason is the WEIGHT of the item, which I hadn't paid attention to during ordering. At a hefty 1 POUND (!!!) this toilet paper holder is sure to take your wall down! I was planning to install it on the side of my skeek Ikea vanity, but I didn't think the compressed wood would take the weight. Also, it comes with a mounting template, but no mounting instructions, and I'm not sure I could have figured out how to mount it. There's a reason the people before me got the mounting bracket stuck in the mounting base. The thing is a mystery! On a side note, it comes with four super sturdy wall anchors, so if you have decent walls, this might work for you. My 1960's sheetrock walls wouldn't have supported the weight ay more than my Ikea vanity. :( Aside from that, it looks like a sleek, solid piece of equipment. It's just WAY TOO HEAVY, and instructions (either in print or online) would go a long way...

Solid construction
Looks lovely and built with a solid construction. Unfortunately it's really a brushed yellow gold and quite tacky looking if you are trying to match softer brushed gold hardware so will have to be returned.

Easy to install by the wife
Was a little daunted about my wife's DIY ability when I read some of the reviews. BUT, she said it was very easy to put up, it has no unsightly gaps, closes properly and is very secure. Well worth the money. Adds a touch of class to the 'smallest room'.

Love the look of this. Was on the hunt for a black toilet paper holder for awhile. I love how you refill it.. the bar flips up and you side a new roll on! Super easy and unique design. Nice quality as you would expect from Moen

Unique and elegant
The align series by Moen are well priced and stylish bathroom faucets and fixtures. The toilet paper holder is just cool! No annoying spring loaded poles that fly across the room when you’re changing the role. Flip it up old off and new on. Use the enclosed paper guide for hole alignment and the install is easy for even a do it yourselfer
