Takes a bit of effort, but really nice finish!
I absolutely love how this color has turned out on the metal pieces I've painted! I agree with a previous commenter that it takes a few extra coats to really make it look how you want (anywhere from 3 - 6, depending on the base metal), but it's so worth it in the end. And not too bad a price point for what you're getting which is always appreciated.

A photo will never help
Taking a photo and posting it for a review will hardly give you an idea of this product. I had to add at least 3 coats to get the pearl effect. It turned out exceptionally magnificent once I was done. It gives the reflectiveness of a pearl once painted over WHITE from my experience. I have not tried it over other colors but I must say this is the best pearl finish I've ever seen. It's worth it but takes more elbow grease. Just remember ONE COAT OF THIS PAINT WILL NOT GET THE DESIRED EFFECT. Make sure to get enough for whatever project you're using. It's very beautiful and isn't easy to come by anywhere. No other pearl finished paint matched this one at all. Its very beautiful once completed.

Affordable Specialty Metallic Paint
Modern Masters is a very unique metallic specialty paint. Pricing comparable to most high end premium paints for a specialty metallic paint. It beautifully accents and highlights any properly primed surface with life with it’s settled metallic sparkle. In this project I used the Modern Masters BRASS. In order for this product to look it’s best, a base coat of a somewhat similar paint color in an eggshell finish will do the trick. Since it requires multiple coats in order to achieve a solid and true metallic finish & sheen. If applied on woodwork or high traffic areas 2 coats of added master clear finish is highly recommended for added protection with several options available. A MM extender (ME65116) is a must additive to your metallic paint to keep a wet edge preventing it from streaking, lap marks or drying too fast. Keep in mind, this will also ad a bit more time to your drying and re-coat time but we’ll worth it to achieve a professional finish. Even tho, this is a water based and a low voc’s paint, it still has somewhat of an order in case you’re sensitive. Since it’s a water based product is easy water clean up. The product doesn’t touch up very well due to its metallic properties. So, re-coating is best and specially after it’s been sprayed. If you’re a crafty DIY a little bit of practice with the product is highly recommended mostly due to product being sensitive to temperatures that will affect product workability drastically. I use, like and recommend the metallic Modern Masters because of their range of pre-mixed colors and finishes. But mostly, because my clients love the unique look Modern Masters has achieved with their line of metallic specialty products! Beautiful, simply stated!!

I have used the Modern Masters Metallic paint for many years. It goes On easy and adds a professional look to all of My hand stenciled wallpaper projects. The Champagne color Is my favorite!

Great for a pressed tin ceiling!
A few years ago I painted my living room ceiling with Modern Masters satin nickel. This paint is a dream to apply and the color (applied on top of a metal primer) with a brush, is a warm silver. I had a good2/3rds left in the can. Now, I hired a contractor to scrape, prime and paint 2 more ceilings on another floor. There was a lot of prep work and I was eager to see the results. He sprayed an area with some of the left over paint. The color was very different, kind of a soft gold, like champagne. 4 gallons later, it’s very different than the first ceiling. I don’t know if it’s because it was sprayed, the lights or what. I really prefer the first ceiling and am not sure what to do. This was many hours of labor getting all the failing paint down, these ceilings are over 200 years old.

Love the golden glow!
We used this product to stencil shimmering gold accents on our kitchen all. It worked perfectly. Paint was thick enough that it didn’t run or spread on the horizontal wall. Luscious pigment! Would recommend.

Very nice but not for walls
I liked the paint but I don't think I can use it on my walls, I think this was a user's error on my part. But I painted and left it to dry for 3 days , taped over it then painted black over it. But where the gold was it peeled. I think my paint may be latex

Good quality
This is my 6th container of this brand of paint. It's thin, yet has good depth of color. The black pearl seems a touch streaky, so will likely need 3 coats for solid coverage. I really love this paint for how it settles, & catches the light.
