2 year old loves it

Toddler loves this bc she gets toast from mom and replicates it with this toy. She makes her 1 year old pretend breakfast . Gave it 4 stars bc they need to make it where the bread gets pushed down inside. It sticks out

Cute addition to any play kitchen

Cute little set to add to any play kitchen. Wood always holds up better than plastic. The only dislike is that the bread just sets in the slots, there is no up and down with the side lever to imitate an actual toaster.

Very durable … 3 year old granddaughter isn’t exactly gentle with it when she wants the toast to pop up.

A play kitchen must!

What can I say? Melissa and Doug nailed it again. This item is cute yet simple for lots of fun play. Since we have moved from the terrible two to the even worse 3s, she is certainly not gentle on toys, yet this along with other M&D hold up so well (no paint chips, no wood splintering, no small pieces falling off). The item has taken a beating and I could still pass it to a friend and not feel bad about the condition of the toy. Comes with everything you need to make toast (all wood). One of my favorite things about M&D products is the cute laminated card the sets come with. I use to not think much of them, but now that my young lady is older, she loves these card to take our order. It's a nice touch and adds to the excitement. I got this at a very fair price (around $13) but I probably wouldn't go above $15 for it. I was surprised how much she enjoyed this item but it's neat. I would suggest grabbing the coffee maker too (they match). No sounds and lights but still some of her go to toys. Also good price and I feel like it completes the set. This came in nice packaging if you are buying as a gift.

Good quality looking wooden item

Bought for my 3 year old great nephew. He hasn’t tried it out yet but the quality looks really good and I prefer not to buy plastic toys if I can avoid it. Good sized toaster with knife and slabs of butter in tray. Really cute gift and thought the price was good for the quality you’re getting. I would recommend.

Good quality like all Melissa and Doug products! Cute design. The Velcro on the butter and the bread is really cute. Bought a second one as a gift as my kids loved it so much.

Educational and fun!

Really fun item and great addition to a play kitchen. Our daughter loved practising spreading the butter using the wooden knife. If you ping the toaster lever with force it shoots the toast out high which makes her giggle with laughter every time. Have bought a few for friends too as they are a nice alternative to plastic versions.
