Takes Me Back To My Childhood In The 1940ies Before There Was Plastic

Good heavy wood design, much better than the cheap plastic junk they make today. Love the wood design that makes me think of the old days before there was plastic junk.

Seems to be ok?

My new toilet seat arrived. It seems to be ok. I was surprised the bolts to attach it to the commode screw into the seat hardware and are not typical in that you don't tighten them with a screwdriver. This may seem handy but if you don't have good grip strength it is a disadvantage. You have to be able to hand tighten the plastic fastener from underneath to secure this seat. If you are elderly and a female like me this might be a chore for you. Had I known that from the start I may have chosen a different seat. Eventually I got it secured by getting down on the floor and using a screwdriver to push the plastic bits over, but it took some doing. Now let's hope it lasts. Too soon to tell.

Arrived on time and as described.

Couldn't get to the bolts on the old toilet seat without removing the entire toilet, which was too much trouble, so returned it. Looked really nice though.

Poor quality control

Had to sand the outer edge as it was splintering and kept getting under my fingers while trying to install

Flimsy

Thought I did a good job researching but this seat is nothing like my old one. The little under seat braces are plastic and are already all broken apart. Cheap and flimsy.

Bought the oak veneer and it's pretty ugly. The picture looks nicer.
