Lovely teal color and dragonfly design
I got this set of 4 dinner plates, 4 dessert plates and 4 bowls to use as our everyday tableware. I'm glad to see such sets don't include cups anymore as they never get used. I selected the teal option to match my kitchen and it coordinates very nicely with my teal appliances and kitchenware. The dinnerware box came packed very well in thick bubble wrap. The set itself was packed in one box with cardboard as well as individual tissue dividers. The white design on the plates looks nice against the teal color. The design on the bowls appears to be some sort of wrap around and the background color is just slightly off. The wrap around creates a vertical line on a couple of the bowls where the pattern meets itself but is not very noticeable on the other two bowls. One bowl does have a white line where the underlying wrap around must have gotten slightly out of position during printing. (Picture provided.) I deducted a star for that, but you can't go wrong with a melamine dinner set in my opinion. Note that this line and the printed wrap around is not raised nor can you feel it so I am not concerned about it peeling off. This issue with the design on the outside doesn't take away from the utility of the bowl. It will still hold my salad or cereal just fine. This is a great everyday set. The pieces are lightweight, but very sturdy, can be used outdoors and are dishwasher safe. That's as good as it gets!

Cute but Cheap
Def a cheaper set than i thought. Cute details but if your looking for higher quality i would suggest not getting this set.

Love The Colors...
This is a very nice looking set. The colors are beautiful and so is the design. This set works well for everyday use. I don't have to worry about my grandchildren breaking them. The only drawback with this dish set is that you can't use it in the microwave. Overall I like it. I think it would make a nice gift.

Very pretty informal dinnerware but sub-par construction
Light weight and sturdy. I can drop these without fear of shattering. The bowls are deep and are perfect for salads or cereal. I love the dragonfly design and the teal color. Since these are made of melamine, they are NOT microwavable. I didn’t know that when I ordered the set. I wish they mentioned this more clearly in the description. The construction quality appears to be sub-par. Each of the plates had minor creases in the decorated portion at various locations near the edge. The underside of each plate is a slightly different color (greyer) than the top part of the plate. This extends to the bowls. The inside of the bowls and the top two thirds of their outsides are the nice teal color and pattern. However, the outside bottom of the bowl is the same greyish teal as the bottom of the plates. This implies to me that the teal patterned is a laminate applied to the solid greyish bowls and plates when they are made. I expected better quality than that.

Cute But Flaws
The media could not be loaded. I love teal and I love dragonflies. And I needed some cute girly dishes in this house with all guys and their boring bland white or black (and non-matching lol) dishes. Pros: Great color Cute design BPA-free Dishwasher safe (although, I will only be washing these by hand) Decent-sized bowls (unless you have hungry men in your household who think these are the size of a snack) Cons: Not microwaveable The coating on them (on most all of the dishes there were flaws - looks like the coating is crumbled; not sure how to explain it) Don't trust using a steak knife or anything else sharp on them as I think it'll scrape them up Don't seem real durable - only time will tell For the price, I think these are worth it. Just remember you cannot put them in the microwave (which may be a problem if you put them out as your everyday use dinnerware & have others in the household who won't remember. As tacky as it sounds, I stuck a sticky note on the cupboard to remind the guys they cannot use these in the microwave LOL)

Nice for picnics.
This is nice melamine dinnerware suitable for a brunch, lunch, or outdoor picnic. It is Gibson brand with the Martha Stewart name, and it includes 4 large plates, 4 small plates, and 4 bowls. The pattern is pretty, and the color is vivid. I did notice that the bowls had a wrap on them vs. the whole bowl being covered with the pattern layout. (See photo.) Being made from a plastic material, there is definitely a possibility of these pieces getting scratched by steak or other sharp knives. All in all, a decent set.

Not what I expected
I was surprised how plasticy these feel. I'm also disappointed they're not microwavable. In the picture on the listing you can't tell, but the pattern on the bowls is an extra band. Not the entire bowl(see my picture). Also, it looks like the pattern was melted or baked onto to dishes, leaving some imperfections. Every plate, large and small has these imperfections around the edges, and if you run your fingernail across it, you can feel them. The color is nice though.
