Light weight, and protective

This little raincoat did exactly what I needed. I had very little space and luggage to bring a raincoat so I use this to put over clothing during rain. It’s a little fitted, but I was still able to wear it over a sweater or thin jacket to protect me from the rain, I thought it was good quality and good purchase for the money I use this in Europe during 40° weather and light rain.

Excellent quality rain jacket.

This raincoat exceeded my expectations. My old one was disintegrating because it was 10+ years old. This is lightweight, waterproof, wind, proof, and very durable. It’s perfect for gardening, fishing, windy weather, and rain. Let me remind you that it is only a light weight shell. It’s perfect for layering. You will need to, add a layer if the temperature is too cold to wear alone. But I do recommend this as a lightweight, 100% waterproof, raincoat. Marmot is a excellent reputable company.

Very well made

I love Marmot for its build quality. I have this same jacket in a smaller size from over 10 years ago & it still looks new. Only reason for a new one is I needed a larger size... keeping the old one though, in case I lose some weight... Like I have been trying to do my whole life. But they repel rain well, break the wind. Very lightweight & great for wearing on airplanes and rolling up small in a suitcase.

Waterproof and cute fit

I literally looked at 50 rain jackets online and wasn't happy with any of the choices until I came across this one (and it was on sale!). I wanted a lightweight jacket that was waterproof, a lighter color so I could be visible to cars when walking, and have a style that was not too sporty or too fancy. The jacket meets all these needs and the fit is great -- not bulky but large enough that I can wear a fleece or midweight jacket underneath. I purchased a large (I am 150 lbs, 5'-3"), and wore it in a light, but steady rain and stayed perfectly dry. At first I thought the hood hung over my head a little too much, but seemed helpful to have the protection in the rain, and you can roll back the hood slightly without it looking weird if you want a little more visibility (I also have a small head so most people will think the hood is a perfect fit). It is overall a quality jacket and a great neutral (and light) color.

Great Rain Jacket!

This purchase was to replace a jacket purchased years ago. I purchase a larger size so I can wear additional layers. It is a great rain jacket, highly recommended!

It's much lighter than expected - but does great in the rain

It's much lighter than expected - but does great in the rain! I will still need something for the monsoon-like downpours we get here at times, but it's great for a couple of hours, and even then, it still keeps me fairly dry after that. I think what I really need is a hardshell for the type of weather we experience on the Canadian West Coast.

Compared to the price of some other waterproofs this is value and a sensible price unlike some of the trendier makes. Good quality. Lightweight but not so thin that it will rip on anything, cut to fit woman's shape, quite generous sizing, decent pockets,good hood and adjustable velcro cuffs. Only thing worse than my last Marmot waterproof, is that there were no zipped vents under the arms, but I had never used them much anyway. Nice bright red. I am pleased with the purchase and would buy again.
