Item arrived damaged due to manufacturer's poor packaging
Review is for a Lithonia Lighting CPX 1x4 AL07 SWW7 M4 Low Profile LED Flat Panel Light, a wire-in light source with no included casing. Nominal 30 watts, switchable from 4000 to 2500 lumens and from warm to cool to daylight by manual switches on the side of the unit that would typically not be accessible after installation. Item arrived damaged due to a combination of the manufacturer's poor packaging choice and due to poor packaging at the shipping source. Box is labeled as a "contractor select" and is made of very thin walled corrugated carboard of the type I might expect fluorescent tube bulbs to be sold in; inside this the unit was in a thin plastic bag with no other protective material. This was packaged for shipping in an oversized box I assume was for shipping flat panel TVs with about a quarter of the amount of wadded up butcher paper that an item like this would need. This Lithonia light panel is much thicker than a previous light panel I was replacing due to a trapezoidal sheet metal housing on the back. The old unit had been mounted directly to the ceiling in a 2" x 1' x 4' sheet metal frame screwed into the ceiling joists. The Lithonia panel fits well in it, however its thicker profile occupies most of the available space and does not leave room for electrical connectors and barely leaves room for the wires themselves behind the unit. Wiring placement on the back of the unit is just off center in the middle side and could house the wiring connectors if needed. Unit is about as bright as a traditional fluorescent shop light but only casts light directly down. This gives it an effect more like a frosted skylight.

Great set
Great replacement for an old burned out fluorescent set. The ability to match the brightness and color temp of the other lights in that space was invaluable. I imagine eventually these will replace all of the old units.

Great replacement for old fluorescent
Installed last week and it has been working out great. This was replacement for old 24"x48" fluorescent light fixture in the drop ceiling in the basement. Installation was very easy (removing the old light was harder). We are using on the lowest brightness setting on warmest color and it still puts out incredible light. I have another one on the way as I plan to be changing several others of our old fluorescent lights to these Lithonia LED's.

Know the facts before you purchase
This is probably a great fixture but is not designed to be ceiling mounted in a normal residential situation. That's not adequately disclosed in the listing IMO. Once I received I discovered this is a COMMERCIAL fixture designed to be mounted in commercial T grid ceilings. Perhaps there's a way to mount them to sheet rock but wouldn't be worth the hassle

Slim Profile is Wonderful
This light is a great upgrade over the clunky fluorescent units - the adjustable color temp and lumen settings were the main selling points for me. I have it in my basement's drop-ceiling at the warmest color (3500K) and lowest lumen setting and the light output is way better than the fluorescent unit that was previously installed. Getting the old fluorescent panel out was a huge pain. Floor joists above made it nearly impossible to pry out of the ceiling but it came out eventually. The beauty of these LED panels is how slim and light they are (probably 1/3rd the thickness and 1/2 the weight of the old panel). The new LED panel slid right into place with no problems at all. This will make any future work a breeze. I'm happy to get the old fluorescent unit out and into the trash heap where it belongs. This panel looks much sleeker than the old one with its sagging plastic lens/diffuser. The light uniformity is also very impressive. Almost looks as though sunlight is pouring in from the ceiling through a frosted-glass skylight. I see no flicker - just uniform 3500K light.

Using to build a lightbox. The product is great, the shipping was terrible
The panel performs exactly as I wanted This is being used to create a photography lighbox and is perfect for my use. The electrical box is tucked under the edge creating a nearly flat back. The light is bright and even through out the panel with only a small amount of shadow and falloff at the edges. Colors photograph correctly. My only complaint, and it is a loud one, is that is was shipped to me in only the flimsy retail packaging and not within a shipping box. The package was coming apart and obviously could not hold up to the rough handling. Consequently the edges were dented in three places. I chose to keep it rather than return it because it functionally was OK and I did not want to wait for a second unit that could have arrived in the same or worse condition. The cosmetic defects were not important For my intended use. If I had to order again I would go through a home improvement store and have is shipped to the store so the shipping condition was their responsibility.

Great value
Used these to replace old florescent fixtures. They fit in nicely for the 2' x 2' hang ceiling grid and sit flush to the ceiling. Very happy!
