SO FUN!

I got this as a decoration for around my Christmas tree. I'm 62 and played with the damn thing every day. haha I ended up building a lego train terminal & a couple buildings to put beside it and I pulled in/out blowing the whistle and ringing the bell. I'm sure next year I'll put a whole village around the thing to play it.

very reasonable , Needs fully charged batteries ???? anything less and the motor will not run.

Build & Craftsmanship very good I did find out that if the batteries were not brand new, the motor would not run. No where. Is that documented. It would not run on unopened batteries that I purchased ~30 days earlier. I had to buy brand new, quality (Energizer) batteries.

Good Product, but be careful of packaging

It works well and was actually a lot bigger than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Be prepared to buy 6, ‘C’ batteries for the locomotive. Be EXTREMELY careful opening the packaging, the plastic is so thin and brittle it sliced my hand 5 times just trying to take the tape off. Make sure to supervise your children opening it, if you buy it as a gift.

Great Family Gift

Gave this to a coworker and her family last year for Xmas and they love it. The boy constantly lays under the tree watching it go around. She sends me snapchats of him talking back to it ???? Great product that will bring joy for many years.

Fun on a small scale

A good addition to our Christmas village. We enjoy the whistle sounds and plan to purchase additional track. The scale is a bit large for Dept56 and Lemax houses but hey it’s the Hogwarts Express so what’s not to love

55mm gauge track, so will need work to run on normal gauge one track...

Answer in review stated 45mm gauge. It isn't, its 55mm....

Perfect for what we want.

Works great, cute as all getout. Not sure how durable it would be with small children though. This was purchased mainly for a Christmas tree train, as my S-Gauge won't be ready in time. Dead easy to put together. It would work well outdoors as well, just not a lot of track. When you price a pair of turn-outs, 12 curved and 12 straight track pieces, it's over $100 plus tax. Guess that's why they don't include much track with them. Does what WE want though, perfectly.

Hogwarts express

Decent train for the money, read the reviews and chanced it. Little more noise then I would like with the basic running sound of the train but it's not to bad either. Also after watching a couple videos and seeing people complaining about how much noise it made going around the track, I should mention if all wheels aren't on the track properly it tends to do that. very quiet in that aspect when you put it onto the track correctly lol.
