Arrived broken, not typical Lenox quality
I have many other Lenox pieces, ranging from dishware to to Christmas ornaments. I've always thought the name synonymous with "excellent quality," but these dishes disappointed me. They arrived in their manufacturer's box, packaged within a second Amazon box, so there should have been enough protection. But the interior box's packaging was terrible - just a few pieces of thin cardboard between the dishes. As a result one of the bowls was broken when I unboxed them.* Broken bowl aside, there are a few other things that make these dishes seem like lower quality than my other Lenox purchases: 1. Thinner stoneware. For example, the Lenox Sprig & Vine series is visibly thicker without sacrificing elegance. I'd attribute the broken bowl to this thinner material, in addition to the poor packaging. 2. Colors aren't as shown. I've looked at the images on three monitors and 2 phones, and they all look like muted colors that blend well. What I received is a set of very pink dinner plates, sage green lunch plates, and gray bowls. To my eye, they don't look nearly as good together as the online photos - but that could be just preference. 3. Pattern on the large plates is much more sloppy looking. If you look carefully at the photos, you'll see that the dinner plates have a messed-up glaze look to them, like they're trying to look vintage or handmade or something. It's pretty subtle, so doesn't seem like it would matter. BUT the actual plates look like a mistake when you see them. My husband and I thought we'd gotten a bad batch or something. It's probably because the pink is much darker than the photos, so the mess stands out. Note that the bowls are much larger than typical cereal bowls, and seem better sized as smallish serving bowls. There aren't any measurements on the product page, so you might miss this from the photos if you don't know how big 24 oz. is off the top of your head. One of my photos shows one of these bowls beside a Lenox Westmore bowl for comparison. Overall, I hesitate to recommend this set unless you're in love with the patterns and glaze style. Lenox has far better quality sets available. *Lenox's website has a breakage guarantee, but I haven't tested whether this would apply to the broken bowl in this set. It's possible it would, so that may be a mitigating factor for some people.

A little chunky; pretty pattern
A was surprised at how clunky/chunky this set is. It is not delicate at all. Each piece is thick and somewhat heavy. The patterns are gorgeous and look almost like watercolor. Even though the pieces have different patterns, they are very cohesive. You are mostly paying for the label here though. Also, lenox replaces broken pieces which is nice.

Er. NOT "Blue" at all! But Pleasant!
Naturally, when I received this Lenox Textured Neutrals Linen 12-Piece Set, I was confused. Blue? I love china, and I love setting some pretty dishes on a gorgeous tablecloth (we could get into my tablecloth obsession another time). But take a close look at this set before you settle on it, because it has some peculiarities. Usually I jump at Lenox, because it's such a well-known brand. However, this feels the teeniest bit "mix 'n match" to me--they are a trendy color and pattern family, instead of uniform rigidity in their appearance. The set is a pleasant neutral, and none of the patterns are too outre; instead, they are familiar diamond crosshatching, leaves and stripes. The colors are pale greys, and wheat-toned browns, and the patterns are textured. Recommended, but keep in mind that this is not a completely formal-looking set.

Gorgeous-Neutral-Easy Care Set
This is a beautiful set of dishes that is casual, yet elegant at the same time. It is made of high quality porcelain that can be put in the dishwasher daily or hand-washed as you wish. The light patterns that are different on the plate, bowl, and salad plate, yet all match in color and add a varied interest to your dining experience. The set pairs well with pale colors, wood, metal, etc. This is a great brand that always holds up and has some wonderful pieces that will last a long time. I am happy to have a couple different patterns to change as seasons change or just my mood.

Good Quality, Neutral Colors
I have no idea why the description says "Blue". There is not a stitch of blue on these shades of beige plates. They are a combination of patterns and shades of cream and beige. I like the different patterns, it creates an interesting looking table set. They are a nice quality plate that have a classic look to them. I think they would blend nicely with many different decor styles. I do think that they need to do invest in better packing materials. They come beautifully boxed, but the dishes are only separated by thin sheets of cardboard. Unfortunately, three of the four bowls were shattered upon arrival.

Love the design of the linen pattern.
This is such pretty, country style set. Linens is a great description for the pattern. It's not country like western, but more like country cottage style. There's nothing really "blue" about these at all. They are all neutral tones. Like other Lenox sets, they are pretty while still being great for every day use. They do just fine in the dishwasher and microwave. I've had no issues with any sauces staining the dishes and they still look beautiful after a good of daily use. I love this set for spring and summer time. They have such a pretty, soft style to them.
