Great Item, and plants can't be over-watered using it.
Nicely made; One of my favorite features is that they really can't be over-watered so long as you have a well draining soil. I original soil and mix with mine, and don't need to use a miracle grow moisture control planter soil, or similar ones. It almost always feels a little damp on the surface but not soggy or muddy and the excess water drains into the reservoir. I highly recommend it.

The warnoings are a crackup
I just started using this to hold a blackberry bush against a wall on my balcony. It appears to be able to do the job. It has a water reservoir and is plenty heavy. They warn in the instructions that it could fall over if you let the plant in it get over 18 inches high. That seems a little conservative but really doesn't apply to me because my blackberry will be tied to a trellis on the wall. It would be useful if they included a drawing showing how the water level indicator goes together. I'm an engineer and it wasn't immediately obvious. They also give you a little pack of gravel to go in the bottom. I don't see the point.

Algreen vs Lechuza Self Watering Pots. Both Good for Overwaterers
I have a lot of pots. Most of my pots are either Algreen or Lechuza because I like having a water reservoir. I am an overwaterer, at least I was until I started buying self-watering pots. It is still possible to overwater with a water reservoir, so I make sure that the top soil is dry before I fill the reservoir. I only have to water every 1 to 3 weeks with my self-watering pots. My fast growing herbs typically need watering once a week while my slower growing plants are okay for 2 to 3 weeks. Both brands are expensive but the time savings and aid with moisture control is worth it for me. I killed plants for years until I bought these pots. Algreen vs Lechuza: - Country of origin: Algreen pots are made in China, while Lechuza pots are made in Germany. - Pon: The Lechuza pots come with Pon (basically fancy gravel) that is supposed to make the self-watering system work better. I bought a large bag of Pon off Amazon that I use when I reuse a Lechuza pot or buy an Algreen pot. - Price: The Algreen pots are typically about $10 cheaper for the same size pot. - Quality: I have not noticed a difference. The water level indicator is almost identical and works just as well in both. - Style: The Lechuza pots tend to be better looking. Summary: I prefer my Lechuza pots. However, I buy a lot of pots, so typically I go with whichever one is one sale. This particular model is very nicely styled, and can be mounted (with an additional purchase). I can comfortably fit three of my herb plants in this planter.

Close to perfect!
The hanging baskets are amazing in so many ways. Everything goes together smoothly and fits perfect, plus they are beautiful and robust. If you are hanging on a balcony you have to buy additional brackets which are nearly as expensive as the basket itself. It seems over the top. I do have two main suggestions; 1) The straps of the brackets are very short and do not accommodate more non standard railings, which I have. I needed to find on Amazon an equivalent width strap and bought it, glued to the unit, which gave me enough length to fit around the railing. 2) Before you plant up thing about where you want the hole for filling with water. The instruction manual shows the hole and water gauge in the back left but in other pictures the front right. After your plants start growing if they are hanging on a balcony the front right is much easier to get to

Wondrous item grants nature proficiency!
Before these planters I killed every plant that I had ever cared for. I'm not proficient in Nature and it's pretty common for me to roll low on skill checks. I transplanting a few coleus and potato vines into these planters and installed them into the same spot on my balcony that they had been in with some cocoa lined planters. I used the mounts that are sold separately - pricey but very well made. Within a week the plants were greener and firmer than they had ever looked. A couple weeks later, the planters are overflowing with new growth. It's been about almost a month now and my balcony is a sanctuary - I've never seen plants take off like this in my care before and they require significantly less maintenance than the other pots and planters on the balcony. One of my favorite features is that they really can't be over-watered so long as you have a well draining soil. I used a miracle grow moisture control planter soil. It almost always feels a little damp on the surface but not soggy or muddy and the excess water drains into the reservoir. Highly recommend this wondrous item.

Worth the Money. (Remember to buy the brackets!)
Beautiful quality construction. I love that I have the ability to put the plugs back in for inside use. Holds about five, 4” plants comfortably (I’m using them for herbs). I freaking love these things. I was on the fence (ha) about buying them for my balcony railing. It’s a thin one and I was nervous placement wouldn’t be right to hold the planter. Regardless, I ordered two and then two sets of brackets. Set up was simple, but some instructions for the water meter were unclear. I did my best with some common sense and a glass of wine and it seems to be working! Once the roots are established, I’ll try the self watering feature. The only bummer is that the brackets are sold separately and kinda costly. But after I assembled it, it was completely worth the money.

Wonderful window box
Searched for the perfect window box to go with our 100 year old house. These are made very well per my husband who said they are high quality but a little tricky to set up. Wanted a cottage style and these fit the bill.very satisfied and happy with purchase.Priced higher then I wanted to spend but will last a long time.❤️Them.

Doesn’t include brackets- not right.
The product doesn’t come with brackets. I’m sure it’s in the small print and there is nothing illegal but it’s pretty bloody cheeky to not include a fundamentally important part of a window box. I’ll head down to the shop for some milk, hope it includes the carton. Still gave 4 stars as it does look good.

Best pots I ever got BUT...
The positive: 1. Stunning & smart look 2. Excellent water control system and drainage 3. My plants have never been happier specially because I can manage how much water they have to the levels needed The negatives: 1. Super expensive 2. When you buy the pots do not tell you that you need to buy also the attachment to the wall & doesn't clearly indicate which one, I had to spend more money to finally know which were the correct one's to use & buy them 3. Could do with better guidance & product information as the information on Amazon is quite vague & can be as good as the seller inputs it Overall, I don't regret buying them but the extra costs, time & hassle to get the right fittings was a nightmare, they are already expensive, seller should consider to sell them as full package & not leave it open to the customer to guess

Great looking products - but overpriced
These are great looking products, but I find them to be VERY expensive. Problem is, that there is no alternative on the market. And then you have to pay extra for brackets which most people will need...they should be included in the box. The trays inside are pull out to make it easy for you to plant new flowers etc. But the plastic handles are a bit flimsy and keep breaking. I have 8 of these, and they're all a bit delicate. However, they look great. The trough of water definitely keeps flowers alive with about 2-3 days worth of water on HOT days in the UK. A week if it's not 25+ degrees. They come with little test tubes with straw inside, so you know when the water is running low. Only problem is that the plants grow all over them, so it's hard to find them once season is in full swing. But, without these you'd be guessing. They have an overflow, so if you water too much, it will spill out of a hole in the bottom (they provide a plug if you don't want them to spill or are placing indoors). I definitely recommend. All my neighbours comment how good they look on my balcony. However, they're very expensive. Brackets should be included in the price, and the little pull out handles need to be make sturdier.

Looks Great
I am a great fan of Lechuza self watering planters and have several in different shapes and sizes. I have fitted two of these planters in front of my windows and I am very pleased with them. You have to buy the brackets separately if they are to be fitted to a balcony or in my case the wall. The instructions for fitting to a balcony is very clear and looks straight forward. I fitted them to the wall just below my window sill. They do not come with fixing bolts or plugs. There were no measurements showing distances between the brackets and fixing holes or any recommended sizes of screws or fixings. Having said that I didn't have any problems fitting them and I like the way the planters slide onto the brackets with a fixing screw underneath. They are very secure and easy to remove for replanting etc.

Self watering window boxes
This window box is the best , great self watering not cheap but really good quality and made to last so worth every penny - the brackets i think should come with it (£20 ) and you have to drill through a metal plate to put on the wall - if already done would have been 5 starts - well made and built to last.
