Door knobs

I got one for my bathroom and fit perfectly and then I got three more for my bedrooms. I want all of them to match and they are a very good price.

Basic room door knob

This basic room/bath door knob does the job. It has a safety release mechanism (supplied pin to release the latch) in case a child gets locked in the room.

Good quality, good price.

Bought this to replace a non-locking door knob on our RV. The bathroom door stays shut because of space limitations so often it's hard to tel if someone is in the bathroom without knocking. There are only two of us normally so we usually know where the other one is. However, if you have one or two guests in there then you have to try to avoid just opening the door, you have to stop and count heads. And t's rather embarrassing when you (or one of the guests) do open the door at the wrong time. So I got this to fix that little problem. Inexpensive but nicely made, good finish too which goes well with the RV interior.

I know its cliche, but they really don't make them like they used to. We bought our first house in 2007, we switched out most of the door knobs and lock sets with Kwikset and they were fine. Not bullet proof, but certainly adequate. Last year we moved into our new house and when it came time to replace things like door knobs I went with what I had used previously, but these are not the same. The internal components are now plastic, instead of metal, you need to be careful as you line up the two halves, so you don't bend the rod. Also, while it may just be the batch I got, it seems the QC has also dropped a great deal. On four of the six we bought the screw holes did not quite match up, making it incredibly difficult to get the two halves screwed together. They aren't so bad that I returned them, but I won't use them again. I spent a few more dollars and went with Schlage for the front entry door.

Nice knob, but should come with better instructions

Decent knob to replace an outdated one without a lock. It was a little difficult to install and the instructions didn't specify that there is a tiny pin inside the lock that can be used to adjust the knob to different doors. My dad does this kind of work so he was able to explain how to do it.
