Old-feeling clay.

The kit comes with a helpful, detailed, and in-color instruction book which teaches several techniques on how to shape and decorate your clay. It's good to have when your clay from the kit runs out so you could just buy regular air-dry clay in place. As for the tools, it comes with a decent amount of paper accessories and tools for your clay creations. My major issue with this kit is the clay it comes with. It seems as so the kit was created years ago and has been sitting on a shelf, slowly curating in the packages. The clay was soft to work with at first, but became foamy after just a few minutes of use after making contact with air. To fix this problem I simply dipped the clay in some water which made it quite sticky, but flexible once again. I would recommend buying extra air-dry clay to use in place of the one that comes with the kit. Overall, great and helpful starter kit, easy to learn. Would recommend buying new clay.

Excellent kit that doesn’t skimp.

Fantastic kit! I wanted to buy some crafts to do while we’re social distancing during the pandemic, and my daughter picked this one out. I wasn’t expecting it to come with so much stuff! I figured it would have a little clay, some instructions, and leave the rest up to you, but no - this kit comes with 8 bags of air-dry clay (a large amount of white, pink, and two shades of brown, and a smaller amount of yellow, green, red, and purple), cardboard cake stand and bakery box, two containers of plastic sprinkles, six styrofoam cake forms, two pie forms, two sheets of shiny cardstock accessories, two plastic tools, a nail polish-sized bottle of ‘glaze’, some mini muffin cups, some half-pearls, and a giant, full-color instruction book. The instructions are really easy to follow, there are clear variations for each project, and it encourages kids to be creative by showing lots of options and suggestions. My ten-year-old loves it and has been able to make adorable little treats that look like the ones in the illustrations with minimal assistance. I expected it to be like a polymer clay, but the clay is really light and airy feeling. A couple of drawbacks: the clay is really sticky and wet at first, more like a slime than a clay. You have to work it for a few minutes before it’ll form into a ball instead of trying to coat your skin. Also, the clay bags are not resealable, so you have to provide ziplocks to keep the clay wet. Overall, though, I am incredibly happy. This has been a huge hit!

Cute Gift and Activity

My five-year-old enjoyed this activity very much. I bought another kit as a refill to continue the fun. I have also purchased this as a holiday gift for my nieces (ages 7 and 8). The clay arrived soft and the book quality is good. Definitely recommend this product!

This was amazing! Best gift ever

Best gift ever I received this as a birthday present and I loved it I made lots of cute little treats and were so fun to make if you have extra clay you can use the book as a guide and I’ve heard lots of people say the clay is really sticky but compared to the clay I had at home it was not near as sticky the only thing that was kinda bad about it was that the clay wasn’t that stretchy but overall I absolutely loved this kit and definitely recommend this to anyone who is very creative and loves doing crafts I’m definitely looking forward to buying more kits buy this brand

Half the clay is unusable

Half the clay is unusable, can’t return since it’s fully opened. Disappointing
