Well made - pretty

Is it weird to call a toilet paper dispenser "pretty"? Well, this one is very pretty. I ordered the polished brass, and it is a nice rich color. Product is heavy and well made. The mounting hardware provided was very good. My only problem was the the footprint of the new dispenser did not match the footprint of the old product, and I had some paint touch up to do. Not the product's fault, but something you may want to be aware of before installation. I am hoping that the spring mechanism in the actual toilet paper roll will last (some other reviewers mentioned that this broke very quickly). We are using it with standard size toilet paper rolls, and it moves smoothly and easily.

Am I the only one that can’t put a roll of paper on it?

You can’t use a regular double roll of toilet paper it won’t roll the bar is so close to the posts that it won’t fit properly to roll.

We use Kingston Brass a lot in our home. This replaced one exactly like it after 18 years of use----and we live by the water, which is tough on finishes

Can't take Mega Rolls

Can't put a mega roll like charmin or costco kirkland brand. - All the manf needs is redesign so we can. For others, they need to offer an extension kit. Looking at it, seems like it would not be too difficult.

Toilet paper hold spindle broke within 5 months.

The spindle spring mechanism broke within five months. Kingston Brass does not stand behind this product and there is no replacement spindle that I could find. I paid $54.85 for a toilet paper holder that didn't last five months. The representative I spoke to was rude and did not care at all that I wasted my money on their product that is expensive and obviously cheaply made. I will not buy anything else from Kingston Brass.
