2nd try is an improvement but ....

update - i returned and got a replacement and it is much better this still doesn't make up for the problem with the first order - given i assume that someone else out there got the one i returned! the new one is better but not perfectly new feeling ie seems a bit sloppy in their construction - though the pieces are very nice quality - i am confused - i chose to order a better quality regulator - what i got was what appears to be a badly refurbished model - covered with scratches, sealant, corrosion,.... i will return it - and regrettably have to recommend against this product and the company that sells it - dont waste ur time.

The first thing that happened when I turned up the pressure was the needle bouncing wildly all over the place. Any pressure change and the needle would take about a full minute to calm down and settle. The day after I set it up, I heard a hissing noise and realized there was CO2 leaking out of the pin assembly. I tried tightening it with a wrench and playing with it, but to no avail. Looking at the other most recent comment, it seems like there was some kind of production problem. At super low pressure, with tape, I am currently keeping it from leaking so much that I can't use it. As soon as my new Taprite gets delivered I will be sending this back for a refund!

Not sure if I got a lemon or not.

I have had countless issues with this regulator. Consistently drained my C02 tank when everything is closed. It is hard to read correctly because it seems to vary by about 2-3 PSI. The knob also consistently seems loose. I won’t rule out having possibly gotten a lemon but not a winner for $70.
