Great build, seems very sturdy

I like the multiple layers, as it add protection to parts of the foot behind composite toe. Very happy with them so far. My only complaint is, why in the hell would they make the loops that hold the laces out of plastic and not stainless steel? They are meant for cold weather, what does plastic do when it’s below freezing? Gets extremely brittle! I swear, if i bought a pair of boots for $230 and the rivets or loops break ill never be buying a pair of keen ever again and i will be hunting for a refund. Just to save a few cents? Keen are you kidding me? Only time will tell.

Perfect boot

I work outside all winter here in Detroit for a sanitation company. We were heading into single digits this past week so I bought these insulated Keen boots. They are not only the most comfortable work boot I have but also they keep my feet nice and warm which is a big thing.

NOT A TRUE EE WIDTH

Not as wide as advertised. This is not the typical width of a EE and is certainly not EE +. Ordering the next size will not resolve the issuse with width and a EEE is not available.

Great boots

So far as 3 month it been. Keeps my foot in place, good arch support, support my lower back pain.

Very comfortable

I have always been a fan with keens. Very comfortable and warm. I’m giving them another try. I had a pair I loved years ago that last about a year and I was pleased with that since I wear them about 75 hours a week for work.. the next pair was half that and the next half of that. Hoping they fixed the quality issue. So far so good!

Researched

After watching the YouTube channel "project farm" who rigorously tests things I decide to go with the keens rather than wolverines, highly recommended you YouTube it he tests many factors. These boots are rated to -40 with 400g of insulation, very few 6inch high boots fit this criteria. The fit so far is perfect. One this I have noted is they don't have a super comfy insole like my CAT boots did but it's a smart idea to wear custom insoles anyways, which I have, to protect your feet from getting hammer toes over time and to prevent back pain. We will see how they hold up and how warm they are but the reviews are fairly good. A little pricey but hey if your making money all day long it's a smart investment and these boots have alot of technology invested in them, the soles are a bit softer and may wear easier then some boots but thats because they have good grip that is needed in slippery conditions.
