Absolute Winner! Very comfortable and well made.
I purchased 4 pairs of Keen Women’s size 9 closed toe sandals to compare. I chose the SOLR High Performance Sport Closed Toe Water Sandal, Black/Steel Grey, the Newport Retro-w Sport Sandal, Original tie dye, the Venice H2 Sandal, Black/Neutral Gray and the Ravine H2 Black/ Dawn Pink. I am planning a vacation trip to Portugal and I wanted to be able to reduce the number of shoes I planned on packing. I have a pair of Keen’s hiking boots and I already know how much I like them. I wanted something that would stand up as well as a hiking boot but weigh less like a tennis shoe for a lot of walking. I wanted something that I could wear to the beach and get in the water. I wanted something that was casual and might go with some of my summer dresses. Finally I was hoping that if the shoe was water proof it might also serve as a shower shoe. So to recap, I am looking for one shoe to rule them all, hiking boots, tennis shoes, sandals, water shoes, shower shoes and a casual summer dress shoe. I know it is a tall order but just think of how much room I will save in my bag. An additional constraints that I have that play into my decision are that I have a AAA foot and AAAA heel. The Keen hiking boots I have wear are a little wide and a little short but they were a better fit than any other boot I found which makes me happy. With the boots I can add inserts, with sandals that is not going to be an option. I have also previously broken my ankle in several places and had several operations on it. I do better in a shoe with at least a little higher in the heel than the toe. I can also be sensitive right under the bone on the inside of the ankle. I loved the rainbow color of the tie dye shoe. It was the only model that offered the rainbow. I have to tell you know I wanted the tie dye shoe to be the winner just because of the color. Some of the other models do offer a variety of colors to choose from just not rainbow. I was looking forward to trying on the Ravine H2. It is the only one of the four that has an adjustable heel strap. I have not had a sandal with an adjustable heel but my husband has several pairs of sandals with the adjustable heel and he raves about them. I was hoping that it would help make the shoe fit more securely and not slide around. The adjustable strap did give a good fit on the heel. It was the first shoe I tried on and if it had been the only shoe I tried on I would have loved it. In the end the adjustable strap was one of the main reasons I did not choose it. I was thick and hard. The other 3 models all had very soft and comfortable heel straps. The SOLR Sandal looks like it might be adjustable in the heel but it is not. The Ravine H2 is the only one with an adjustable heel. If this is important to you this is the choice for you. Keep in mind it wasn’t uncomfortable it just wasn’t as comfortable and in the end I did not feel like it offered the benefits I needed over the comfort. The next big thing I was looking for was whether I could secure the shoe enough that it didn’t slip around on my foot. I did wear a pair of extra thin socks when trying them on and I will most likely wear them with socks when out and about but not at the beach. The Ravine H2 and the Venice H2 did not lace up as snuggly as I was wanting on my foot. I think for the average foot they would have been great. The SOLR and the Newport Retro both felt very snug around my foot with a much better ability to lace up. This being said I think that both the Ravine H2 and the Venice H2 have more breathing room but they all are pretty open. In the end the Newport Retro rubbed right on my scar on my ankle that ruled it out immediately. My favorite looking pair was eliminated due to an old injury. Both of the H2 models did not feel snug enough on my feet and the Ravine H2 heel strap was not as comfortable. I have been wearing the SOLR sandal for a couple of days now and they are wonderful. I can loosen up the lacing (elastic) and wear them as slip ons around the house or tighten them up for some real walking. When loosened up they are sure to be very comfortable on a medium size foot and I could see a wide foot being comfortable. There is a lot of stretch in the neoprene type fabric used in the shoes There are several features that I passed over that were present in all of the shoes. Every last one of them was comfortable. I am sure the Newport Retro would be wonderful for everyone without a scar in that particular place. Even though the Ravine H2 was comfortable I just liked the SOLR better. All of the soles had different treads but they all had a ….?micro perforation that is not visible until the sole is bent and then it opens up to provide better flexibility. I looked at the stitching and connection points on all of them and they appear to be really well made. I give them all 5 stars. I hope this helped you so you don’t need to buy four pairs of shoes. All of the models are great picks.

Comfortable, Non Slip, Supportive
Love the support, the look, and feel of the shoe. I needed it for support & protection since I was teaching swim and did not want a student to step on my foot while my foot healing. I got the right size this time. Used the try then buy process - That worked out well. Purchased size 9 and it fits great on the non-bunion foot and not so on the other foot which still has a bunion. The only problem I have ... which is my fault is that did not take into account I still have a bunion to get taken care of and so I got a blister. It will take some time to get my bunion foot tough enough or be more patient so I can wear them ALL the time. Prior to bunion surgery I was at a 9.5 wide toe box & sometimes 10 ladies’ shoe. I am happy to have a smaller shoe that fits and I am not slipping around and have support

Give them couple days to form around your foot it's well worth the temporary discomfort
I love these shoes! If they feel a little tight just give them a day or two before returning them. One of the shoes was tight on a more sensitive spot on the top of my foot but I held faith and the next day I felt no pressure at that spot at all. They will conform to your feet but you've got to give then the chance., They are so comfortable I find myself wearing them much more than I should when doing activities that don't involve being in the creek or lake. They did not rub or create blisters when after fishing in them for a couple hours in the creek, I walked a couple miles to get home and honestly could not tell aside from just a short lasted squeak of wet rubber that I even had on wet shoes,. They dried fast, the only minor complaint I have is that is at the top of the toe box portion that is covered with neoprene There seems to be a permanent crease you now like you'll get in leather shoes. They are still holding strong after months of running the water shoe gambit and still going strong.

Love this style! Great support for a sandal. Snug fit.
I love these shoes and wear them daily. They offer the support I need for walking… For reference, I am an over-supinator (lean toward the outside edges of my feet), with a significant back/hip condition and occasional plantar fasciitis My feet are normal width, but my high instep often means I need wider fitting shoes to accommodate. I normally wear a 9.5 in Keens, and that is what I ordered. They fit but are very snug. There is not as much adjustability in the fit for these as some other Keens. I will probably get a pair of 10s to wear when my feet swell… but I kept the 9.5s and wear them daily. They are just more snug than I prefer. If you can find a good size for your foot, I highly recommend this sandal for great support. I would describe them as more of a firm sole than cushy, but I’m finding that seems to make my feet happier anyway. I almost always go barefoot indoors, though I should wear some supportive shoes inside too (can’t stand shoes or socks most of the time)… so your mileage may vary if you need a cushier sandal. As for me - I highly recommend them and am ordering a second pair. These are heavier than the Whisper (no surpise), which I have two pair of and had worn exclusively the past 3 summers. But the SOLR has way better support. I wouldn’t call these heavy - just compared to the Whisper, you’d definitely notice the added weight in the sole. But for my needs, these solved problems the Whispers never could.

Keen shoes / boots fit narrow width feet
Hiking shoes/boots generally come in M/W widths only. I wear a AA width. So, I have been pleasantly surprised when purchasing Keen hiking shoes and boots. When tightened their M/B width fits. So, I recommend this brand to girls/women with A/AA widths. This brand may fit you as well. I bought a 7M and my size is 71/2 or 7 AA.

Perfect fit
I have bought many Keen shoes. This one is excelent.Perfect fit. Light weigh, confort and with good support. I also bought a Keen Newport and it's not good as this one. The only complain is that the material makes my feet sweat. I use number 9 and the lengh of my feet is 10 in.

Good for the price
These wear like Keens but they seem a half size small. I'm a sandals with socks type, so these work without the socks. The light grey color stands out. For the price, I am pleased.

Fits small.
Was kinda disappointed by this shoe. It fit small and was quite uncomfortable. The sole feels hard and flat and there’s no arch support. It was the first Keen footwear I had purchased and was expecting a better shoe.

Not as good as my other Keens
Fit is on the small side and tight around the arch. Footbed is not the comfiest either. My feet do not resemble Shrek’s but as soon as I tried them my feet began to throb. Returning as I’m not willing to take the chance on them in Central America.

Squeeked really loud on uncarpeted floors. Floors at work are not carpeted. Too annoying.
Love KEEN shoes but these have very loud squeak when walking on floors not carpeted. Floors at work are not carpeted. I love the colors but not the noise. So disappointing

Great for water or boating
I had an old pair similar to these and wanted a newer pair. I am currently using as slippers while waiting for slippers on back order. I love Keen products runners, sandals, slippers

Light and not clompy
Like these as light and grey so not too dark. Good as airy. Sturdy.
