It was difficult to distinguish the very close differences between certain colors, differences that hardly made the pit any prettier. I had difficulty sorting the floss.

Beautiful Piece

I love a counted cross stitch, and this is a beautiful piece. Many of the colors have multiple shades (4 to 5 variations) so close together, just for a few stitches.

Thin Cheap Floss

Pretty design, fabric and chart are OK, floss is the thinnest and cheapest I have ever seen anywhere, period. It's maybe half the thickness of DMC, which I will have to replace it with. My last Janlynn kit was also OK, except part of the poorly printed chart was unreadable and I returned it. So I'm 0 for 2 with Janlynn kits and won't order another even though they do have very nice designs.

this was my first project and it turned out lovely, mostly cross-stitch, some half cross-stitch, and some french knots/ back stitching.
