I love it
I have a white tub and it matched it perfect . White goes good with most other colors in a bathroom also . Just like they say so far . The newer ones sold now have 8 suction cups one on each corner and in the middle of each side . Mine does not move I just tossed in the tub and stepped on it . I did not put it over the drain it covers all but about a foot on each end of my tub . It is like a loofa but comfortable and scrubs the bottom of your feet I like that too . Water goes through it like they say and I haven't had it long enough to comment on cleaning or mold but it says it is treated . One negative is it has a warning that it contains something that causes cancer but I am not going to eat it . For that reason I withheld one star . However it is the best mat to put in and out of the tub I have found and it does not slip in mine plus it is comfortable to stand on and cleans the bottom of your feet as you move on it . Was worried about soap building up on it but as water passes through the soap film does not build up like the solid rubber mats . I can definitely recommend this especially for the price . I do like my cotton bath mat on the floor though it would work fine for a out of the tub bath mat as long as the surface was smooth for the suction cups to stick too . They tell you to moisten them then stick . I just put mine in the tub to see how it fit and it didn't move at all after just standing on it and pressing the suction cups down with my feet . There are little marks where they are so you know from the top . A few do come loose from time to time but in my regular size 5 foot tub the bottom is about the same width so that alone keeps it from moving much . I would imagine those having trouble have large tile floor drain areas or non conventional tubs . However I hve noticed atleast a few of the suction cups stay fastened . Maybe they could be larger but I really like it and it is working very well in my Kohler air tub . Enjoy this is a winner and a great buy with prime two day shipping . UPDATE I have had it a long time like in years now . To clean I put it in the washer when I clean its tub with a cup of IRON OUT let it fill up then stop the cycle and let it soak overnight making sure its held under water . Then in the morning I just let it finish its cycle and rinse . For over kill you can wash it again with a little bleach and clothes soap for a cycle . Keeps it pretty good , if you want it like new just do it every month and stay on it if you have hard water from a well . We have a culligan Gold water softener too that gets out 99% of the iron with two prefilters but still have to scrub and use a little rust cleaner on the sinks , toilet etc ..and bath mat . Iron Out is pretty good stuff but it is acid based so be careful

In the beginning, my best friend gave me two little mats for the bathtubs which do indeed keep you from slipping but they have a latex backing and I had to hang on the back towel rack in the tub after use to dry out, otherwise, you step back onto a cold wet mat because the water does not run through them. I bought this Hydro Rug for my bathtub to keep from slipping and love it because the water runs right through it. I have learned that we ladies who keep lotion on our feet are very likely to slip when entering the bathtub, even with this mat. I have learned to sit on the side while the water runs and rub my feet across this wonderful Hydro Rug and then enter the shower. It has six suction cups at the corners and middle which will slide around until you get it to just where you want it in the tub and then it stays put. Now that I have it exactly where I want it all is working well. It feels wonderful on the bottom of the feet and now I don't worry about slipping so much. My tub is a wide garden tub, an old one with a useless step up to the tub but wide enough to hold beautiful containers of my bathing needs, lotions, ointments, razors, glasses, etc. I would kill myself for sure if I used that step up but draping a towel over it is very attractive and useful. Now that I have this wonderful Hydro Rug just where I want it I am very happy with it and happily recommend it to others. Research all of the bath mats and find the one that is right for you. This one is right for me.

Meets expectations but could be better
Suction cups do not grip as well as the last one that I had. Otherwise, it does meet my expectations.

Good, not perfect
We recently had a fiberglass shower installed for my sister who has arthritis. The unit is a little slippery, so I started looking for a non slip mat. After reading both the positive and negative reviews, I purchased the mat. It will arrive rolled in a box, so pull it out a few hours(better yet days) before you use it and flatten it out. Make sure the floor in the shower is slightly wet before installing. Position and make sure all the suction cups are pushed down. My sister used the mat first and had no issues with it slipping. She did state it was not all that comfortable to stand on. I used it also, and moved around a little more than usual (dancing in the shower?) and it did not slip. It is not the most comfortable thing to stand on, but is not bad, and may have the added advantage of callus removal. I have long hair so was concerned about the hair sticking to the mat. I tried the method of rubbing it with my foot and the hair rolled off. It does have the added advantage of catching the hair before it goes down the drain. The suction cups do not work real well and I recommend checking them with your foot before entering. All in all, so far, a good purchase

Only Rug I Found That Wouldn't Slip in our Tub
I have had problems with shower rugs, slipping in our bathtub. I went through 3 or 4 different ones which were more expensive, that were supposed to be guaranteed non slip, but nothing stayed in place well. I have a spine injury, so any movement, causes me pain. When it slips even just a little, you tense up to catch yourself, causing major pain. I reluctantly tried this one, and couldn't have been happier. It is the only one that I can keep from moving in our tub, and I loved it so much I bought a 2nd one which I take with me when we travel, to keep from slipping in showers in our rooms. People are debating the "soft" claim in reviews, it really depends on your definition of "soft". If you're looking for a texture soft, like a velvet feel etc this isn't, it's rough almost like standing on pavement but it does feel good on my feet. It also does quickly break in and the roughness does cut down. If you're looking for soft as in cushion, it is. Though the softness does cut down after awhile, it's a great rug! I can't recommend it enough. It's saved me from major pain, allowed me to wash/shower without so much pain.

An Excellent Product
This is an excellent product. The rug is comfortable to stand on and soft on your feet. The suctions cups hold it securely to the bath tub or shower. It does not slip, slide, or move like most traditional bath mats do. It can be washed easily in the bath tub or shower. This is a valuable health and safety product that is essential for any home.

Not bad, not as thick and cushiony as the previous mat I had but it does the trick. Suction cups are on the outer edges only so it doesn't hurt your feet to stand on it like some other mats out there.

Great product! The only issue is the way it's packaged. The rug is folden instead of being rolled. It takes a while for the folds to disappear.
