Great for shop for the price

Been wanting a fan for the shop and didn't want to pay the high prices for the nice big shop fans. This works great and I was able to add a dimmer switch since the height in my shop is 15'. We will see how it does in the summer months and keeping the temp/humidity down.

Only 3020 CFM and “SW Urbane Bronze”

I’ll start with saying the fan is super quiet, sturdy, and an easy install. I do like it. I did an angle mount on a cabin porch joist that has a 4/12 roof pitch. Anything steeper and you probably want a longer down-rod for blade clearance. There was enough wire for maybe 36” (I didn’t measure but know I cut off at least 2 feet). I was conflicted on the color prior to ordering. Many of the pictures showed it as a gray very similar to a “Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze”, although a couple I saw did look like it had some brown in it. Most items denoted as bronze have more of a dark brown/black hue to them which was what I really wanted but difficult to find in an outdoor fan that doesn’t look super modern. I figured with free returns I could send back if not happy. I decided to keep it prior to installing. After install, I turned it on and was not overly impressed with the airflow. Being outside, I had to have it on high to really feel a breeze sitting right underneath it. The breeze is “acceptable” but not forceful like the fan I have in my office on an 11’ ceiling. With 5000+ CFM, I expected better. Then I looked at the box and saw 3020 CFM. Why does Amazon list 5070 CFM and Lowe’s list 5459? I expected at least 5000 prior to ordering, which would have been amazing and allowed me to use multiple speeds. I’m still keeping it but feel a bit deceived. Nice fan but if your blade height is greater than 8’ and outside (my situation), realize you may be looking for more airflow.

Not Bronze! Air flow is listed incorrect also

It's a nice looking fan. Definitely black and not bronze like the listing states nor does it put out the air flow like the listing claims. Box stated half the air flow listed on the ad.

good for outdoor use

This is not terribly difficult to install but if you are challenged at all by DIY it may take you awhile. The plastic fan blades are a nice touch for outdoor use. The rest of the fan is your typical overpriced foreign made components. Don't expect to be able to do anything with this thing other than replace it when it stops running but it does look nice for now :)

Good Budget Fan

This is a good fan for the price. Ive put in 10+ different fans over the years, and the assembly was par for the course - fairly easy. I love some of the reviews complaining that the blades must be installed after the fan housing is hung...Of course! Try hanging a 5 blade fan with blades already on it, good luck! Anyone with basic mechanical skills can put this together and hang it. Basic wiring knowledge required, also pretty easy. The good: Housing seems sturdy, mounting hardware is pretty solid, extra screws and washers are included if you lose one - thank you! The bad: Outdoor fan = plastic blades, I'm worried they will droop over time. We shall see. I mounted indoors. The hanger down-tube is ridonkulously short. I wish these mfr's would include a short tube, and a 12" tube as well - what would it cost them, an extra 50cents? I bought a hunter downtube since Depot and Lowes don't carry Hunter accessories in store by me. It worked with minor duc-tape modifications. Good fan for the money! I’m very disappointed. Including extra hardware

At the bottom is my original, one-star review; it was based exclusively on the fan's "low air volume". I'm now substantially upgrading my review due to the following. 1. World-class, top-tier Customer Support. Due to the review, they contacted me immediately, and we had extensive and substantial email exchanges, during which they offered every reasonable kind of help. I copied my final email to Support below. 2. I've become convinced the fan is competitive with other current fans in its price range in terms of air-flow and that my expectations were too high. 3. Other than air-flow, there are a lot of positive things to say about the fan: Good, heavy construction; good documentation; extra screws, washers, etc. just in case; operation is extremely smooth with no balancing required. Here's my final email to Support: "Thanks Nick. I agree with all your conclusions below and don’t want to invest more time in experimental swaps or returns. The fan is a disappointment, but our exchange has convinced me it’s probably comparable with other fans in its price range. However, your customer support is top-tier in a world where even merely satisfactory customer support is becoming more and more rare. Consequently, I’ll enthusiastically upgrade my review. Thanks again, Bill" Below is my original review. I’m very disappointed. Including extra hardware, I invested approximately $110 in this ceiling fan. But much more importantly, I invested over 6 hours of my valuable time installing it. The fan works, but it moves very little air; its highest speed is barely up to medium on my other ceiling fans. This is the most anemic ceiling fan I’ve owned, and it’s of no value to me. So, after my very considerable investment, I have nothing to show except a depleted wallet and lack of things I could otherwise have accomplished with my time!

Cheaper than lounging in the wash of a helicopter

As I write this review my new fan is blasting cool, silky air down and around my keyboard and me; barely hear it even though it is on "wicked" high. All this an it looks slick too. I usually don't appreciate brand logos hanging out on my gear but the Honeywell tag adds to its charisma. Only red mark would be the instruction: could have been a little clearer and some small parts should have been included, such as : the tiny washer and locking washer for the bolt that a typical outlet book doesn't provide either. Installation was pretty easy, even for a novice handyman such as I. I would recommend mounting using a a ceiling fan outlet box with a side mount to support the fan. Mine is super stable, doesn't move a tick mounting it this way. Oh and another plus: it was one of the more affordable ceiling fans as well. Highly recommend.

Excellent quality and value for the money!

This fan is perfect for our gazebo! It is Well designed, easy to install, and looks very classy with the wood grained plastic blades. The fan I received came equipped with plastic or rubber Shields for the pull switch and the switch to change directions... they even supplied a few extra screws in case one is dropped.. nice touch!

Love it

Installed this in the vaulted ceiling of our 3 season cottage to circulate air from the woodstove (the only source of heat). It installed easily and was perfectly balanced. Not a wobble. It is very quiet and unobtrusive so we leave it on most of the time. It circulates the air nicely even on low speed and has a quality look and feel to it. Highly recommend.

Great fan!

We purchased two of these fans for under our covered deck area and they’ve so far worked great! They help keep the area cool and look fantastic, too. Highly recommend.
