Great except for branding
I liked the fit and finish of this vest, but ended up returning it because it has a large white logo that shows on the collar when you don't have it zipped to the top. Through off the aesthetic for me.

Be mindful of fit
I am a big fan of HH gear, or at least I want to be. Problem is, all of this stuff is made for the smaller, athletic man. I am more meat tractor than sailor so make sure you give yourself a little extra on the XXL's.

Another great HH product
Bought a small and it was just slightly too tight. I usually wear that size but this brand seems to just fit that way. Medium was perfect, maybe even a little large so I’m happy. All the quality and consistency I’ve come to expect from HH. Love this thing

perfect for keeping your core warm. I first used it for an ocean-crossing passage. It was very comfortable to wear and kept me warm while not overheating. good zippers and pockets - convenient for keeping things dry.

Quality - need to size up
The quality and comfort is what you would expect from Helly-Hansen. This jacket is not one you see very often in the wild. I typically wear a size large in all my outwear but had to go with an XL for this particular jacket.

True to size and well made
My prior sailing/fishing vest was made before iPhones grew in size. The cell phone pocket is huge on this HH vest. Good zippers and machine washable.

Good but darker than I expected. It is really black but the orange zips offset it well. Lots of pockets and very stylish.

Lightweight
Lightweight and well-fitting. As a thin outer layer the idea is you'd wear a fleece or something warm underneath in cold weather for most of the insulation and this for extra wind/rain-proofing, but I've found it great for Autumn when the weather fluctuates between warm and cold (probably find it great for Spring too for the same reason).

Really nice gilet but have exchanged the L for XL
Super quality, looks really smart but found the large too tight across my shoulders and back, not just in a fitted way, it uncomfortably cut in as I moved my arms, and there'd be no chance of fitting a fleece underneath. I'm 6' tall, 95KG, 43 inch chest, 34/36 waist (this area fits no problem) and lift weights 2-3 times a week, if that sounds like you I'd recommend the XL.
