Was apprehensive about the price, but I wanted a "forever" raincoat

Well, let me tell you, the Helly-Hansen Men's Rigging Waterproof Jacket is one clever piece of outerwear. It's a real lifesaver down here in Louisiana where the weather is about as predictable as a gator's next move. What I love most about this jacket is that it's the perfect balance of form and function. It looks great, but it's also 100% waterproof, windproof, and breathable, so you can stay dry and comfortable no matter what the weather is doing. The fully seam-sealed design is like having your own personal forcefield against the rain, and the adjustable hood and cuffs give you even more protection. And let's not forget the 100% Primaloft Black insulation on the inner jacket. It's so light and warm, it's like wearing a cozy cloud on those chilly Louisiana mornings. Exactly what I needed

A stylish trench with a hood and a nearly absurd amount of pockets. It fits perfect and I've already gotten a ton of compliments on it. I didn't want to spend $350 on a coat but I'm ultimately glad that I did as this will last me at least 5 years when I will replace it with another Helly Hanson.

All I could ask for in a winter coat.

I'll start with sizing. Normally I take a large so thats what I tried first. Was fine if my arms were down, but if I put my arms out straight forward like I was reaching for something, the cuffs of the sleeves would be at the middle of my forearms. The extra large version was what I needed. So more generally speaking, this is a very utilitarian jacket. Lots of pockets, very waterproof, suprisingly warm, and even kinda heavy for what it is (which is good!). It is a little awkward to get the zipper started, but I think any long coat is like this, and the added warmth is worth it. I would recommend this to anyone. FYI, I live in central lower peninsula of Michigan and its good enough with just a t-shirt under it most days. Just go with a size larger than you normally do.

fits snug

it's a great looking trench...not sure how it's gonna hold up to cold yet. it's a snug fit... I wore a hoodie under it.

Skeptical at first, convinced like never before

I always read the reviews on everything I buy. I tried to buy many different winter coats this year (3) and none of them made the job. I like when the coat is sticking to the body but I also love when it has style (since I am an artist). This coat is just the perfect fit for me in all terms. Beautiful design, long length, perfectly fitting my body, warm. Now the only thing to see is if it will stay in good shape through the next winters.

Very quick, very easy review…. BUY IT!!!! This us an awesome winter coat. Love the design with the patches, the fact it has a zip out lining and the length is nice and long. VERY WARM!! I live in Canada where today it’s -22*F .. jacket kept me warm no problem. Highly recommend this jacket. ZERO complaints at all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very warm and great quality

A very warm waterproof jacket which comes down nearly to the knees if you a 6 ft tall. Sizes are accurate if you use the size chart. Great having a 3 piece jacket as it can be worn for all weathers. Very well made although made in China. Zip is a two way zip which can be harder to do up but is needed due to the length.

Quality

As a commercial fisher and now retired I have worn Helly Hanson rain gear for almost 50 years with good result s, long lasting and tough so when I needed a semi dress rain coat I choos ethics coat and so far it has been great , I even had a compliment that I looked very Swish in it . My only concern is that it is a little tight for a XL and shortly after receiving it the coat hanger came apart on the coat though the liner still has one. overall a good coat and received it just before we went into two weeks of Artic outflow combined with Snow and heavy freezing.
