Great jacket! Consider getting the girls jacket with snaps instead of the boys jacket with a zipper

We love Hadley rain jackets! Snuggly inside means you don’t have to have a ton of under layers. The waterproof outside means you can play outside for hours in the rain! My daughter has the same jacket but for some reason the girls jackets come with snaps and the boys come with zippers. The boys don’t like the zippers, we wish all of the jackets had snaps or a combination of both zippers and snaps. It’s a lot of work to zip in and zip all the time, snaps are much faster and easier for a little hands.

Long-Time Fan

I've said it before - my kids have been in Hatley since they could walk. I will not buy another raincoat for them. Hatley is quality and worth every penny. You will not find cheap plastic material here. Nothing that feels uncomfortable or sticks together or is out grown quickly. My son wore his size 3T Hatley raincoat for 2 years, even when he was in 4T clothes and for a few months while in 5T clothes without it being too tight or too short. I ordered this one in size 5 and it has the extra arm length and width that make them last so long. I love that this one looks a little more grown up. He's adorable in it. These coats last forever.

Sometimes, you do pay for what you get

Fantastic quality. We had another one from this brand handed down to us in a smaller size that had already gone through two other very active kids, which is why we purchased this when the other became too small. I’m sure we will be able to hand this down as well!

This is cute. Although large, this works if we roll the sleeves quite a bit. As some other reviews state, the hood is smaller than is proportionate to the rest of the jacket, but still worked well to keep my son dry in some recent rain splashing.

Quality rain coat with zipper

Very good quality rain gear that holds wind and rain. My son is 4 and half and he's 80th percentile on height. The 6Y size runs just a tiny bit loose on him which is perfect.

Hood is too small

Overall this is a great quality jacket. The outside seems very waterproof (not just water “resistant”) and the terry cloth lining is great. My only complaint is the hood is disproportionately small for the jacket. After looking at pictures of this splash jacket and the other Hatley raincoats, I now can see the difference in the hoods between the two different styles. I returned this one and have ordered the other one (the official Hatley raincoat).

Size 10 - room to grow!

I bought this in a size 10 for my smaller framed average height 8 year old. It’s easy to zip, comfortable and withstood our recent downpour well! I like that the length means more of his clothes are protected and that he can easy use this for a year, or two!

Amazing rain jacket

This jacket is amazing! Very light yet lined on the inside. Keeps my boy dry and warm in comparison to many other brands much more sleek and more comfortable… my son loves it!! Definitely worth the money!

Worth the money!

Fits the shoulders perfectly, bit spacious on the stomach area and the sleeves are a bit long. However it's a lovely coat my little boy loves the design and I think it's a perfect jacket to keep him dry on a rainy day but it also provides some warmth which is what I was looking for in a jacket for him!
