Great game for toddlers, Pre-K and maybe even kindergartners
My 3 year olds had fun exploring and playing with this game. I can see where it would be a great learning tool for multiple ages. The game encourages letting the kids to explore the game pieces on their own in creative play, then try out any of the multiple games you can play. There are so many different configurations on how to play. You can even come up with your own games. You get 12 of each color monster, their containers (houses) and spinner boards that have 2 different sides. The spinner itself is a suction cup that can be moved to any of the boards. This set can be a great learning tool, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Gripper Too Small for My Three Year Old
From my experience with this toy set, I have found it to be an enjoyable and engaging option for young children. My 3-year-old has particularly enjoyed playing games with the spinners, while my 1.5-year-old has had fun opening and closing the containers and moving the monsters around. What I appreciate most about this toy set is its open-ended design, which allows for creativity and imaginative play that can evolve over time. However, one downside of the set is the gripper, which is intended to prepare young children for using a pencil grip. Unfortunately, my 3-year-old and other older children seemed to have difficulty using the gripper due to its size. Nonetheless, this is a minor drawback and does not detract from the overall quality of the set. Overall, I highly recommend this toy set for parents who are looking for a fun and engaging activity for their children. Its open-ended design allows for endless play possibilities, and while the gripper may not work for every child, there are many other fun components to enjoy.

4 games in 1: Makes Learning Fun
The Grab That Monster game is a great game to play with kids. There are multiple ways to play the game with instructions that are easy and quick to learn, even for younger children. The set includes 4 houses: green, yellow, teal, and purple, 2 double sided boards, 48 mini monsters, a spinner and 2 large monsters one red, and one orange (Photo 1). The spinner is attached to a suction cup to allow it to be placed and removed on all the boards. Through use I had no issue with the suction cup causing the spinner to come off, if anything I found it to be a little hard to remove from the board. When playing the games, personally I like to incorporate positional words and speech when playing with my child to help her learn and develop. This game is also great for teaching kids about colors and numbers. The four game modes are detailed below. Game 1: The Number Game (Photo 1) - You take turns spinning and then enter that many monsters in their home, first one to get all their monsters into their house, wins. Game 2: The Color Game (Photo 2) – you take 10 to 15 monsters, regardless of color and put them all in the middle. You spin and then grab a monster of that color and put it in their colored house. Continue until one player is the first to fill up a monsters house/no remaining monsters of that color is in the middle pile. Game 3: Shape Game (Photo 1 & 3) – You spin and whatever shape monster you get, you are going to collect those monsters and stack them on top of each other. If your stack falls over, you start over. The game ends when all monsters are used, and the winner is decided based on who has the tallest stack. Game 4: The Challenged Spinner (Photo 2) – Follow the same rules as the number game but has more “challenges” on the board such as skip a players turn. Con – The 2 large monsters are more for kids and was difficult for adult size fingers (Photo 4).

Good Game, Grabbers Are a Bit Too Large
This is a fun game for kids, and I love that it's designed to help kids develop a proper writing grip. The monsters are cute, and my kids were eager to play. My one issue is that my 5-year-old, who could benefit most from grip practice, couldn't hold the gripper well at all. It was too big for her hand and kept falling off, which frustrated her. The age range given is 3+, but I cannot imagine a 3-year-old holding either gripper (it has to do with hand length, because the large hinge hits the bend of the thumb, and then fingers can't reach the mouth). My 7-year-old had no issues at all, but...he can already write well. It's cute and fun, and might be very helpful, depending on the kiddo.

Great product!
What a great product to practice fine motor skills with! The pieces are durable and brightly colored. The spinner works well and is on a suction cup so you can use it on four different boards (the suction cup is an ingenious idea!!). It can also be used for more than fine motor skills. It’s a great addition to our weekly OT appointments.

Super cute game!
I love this set! I’m always looking for games that work on fine motor skills and this one does a great job! There are two types of “grip” in the different grabbers so your kiddo can decide what works better. The different shapes provide challenges in how to pick them up, but there are enough “bumps” on each monster that it’s never frustrating for my 3 year old. I told him he has to only pick up the monsters with the grabbers so they don’t nibble on his fingers. He thought that was hilarious and it kept him occupied for quite awhile! You can pull out all of the set at once, or just a couple of colors at a time (my preference currently) so it’s less overwhelming visually, then switch up what colors you pair. Overall, we are getting a lot of use out of this set. Very glad we got it!
