Confirm the size of what you're replacing!

This is a great product I've used before. I just guessed at the hole size for where I wanted it to go and it wasvtoo small. Totally my fault.

Super Easy Install

Initially bought just one to check it out. I was a bit wary due to the low price. The install process took less than 5 minutes. The fixture looks great, compared to the old 6 inch can, and gives out a good amount of light. Works well on a dimmer switch. Like my initial purchase so much, I placed a second order.

Too Small as a Replacement for 6" Halo Pot Lights

This is an excellent LED integrated light and bezel combination to upgrade your standard Halo Pot Light. It fits HALO recessed pot light cans perfectly and come with a light socket adapter so you get everything you need. If you are replacing HALO 5" pot lights this LED light adapter will work perfectly and look great. If you are using this to convert HALO 6" pot light, it will work and fit perfectly however the outer bezel, trim ring will be ¼" smaller all the way around. This isn't a problem if your ceiling hasn't faded over time or has not been scratched or marked by the previous 6" trim ring. In my application I was replacing a 6" Halo Pot Light with Waterproof Trim Ring in my Steam Shower with this LT560WH6940R LED Light Kit. The new LED Light kit fit perfectly however it was smaller than the 6" and didn't provide the same coverage. The exposed ¼" of ceiling was a different color because it was previously covered by the old 6" Halo pot light trim. The color of the exposed ceiling was whiter than the surrounding ceiling which was faded from 20 years of UV exposure. This left me with a beautiful, white halo light, a different color ring around the new light, surround by a different white faded ceiling. It looked awful. The solution to get right of the extra unfaded ceiling showing around the light would be to paint the entire ceiling which wasn't an option. I ended up sending this Halo LED Light fixture back and just painting the trim rings on my existing fixtures to look new again. ••• Recommendation ••• These LED lights are bright, look great and are easy to install. If your existing HALO light fixtures are 5" this kit will work perfectly and look great. If your existing HALO light fixtures are 6" then you may have an exposed ¼" ring around the new LED Light fixture which may or may not be a problem depending on sun fading or scuffs. I wish they would have made this LED Light Fixture just a little bigger in diameter.

Comes with a mystery ground wire and no instructions

This retrofit kit came with no instructions. It has a green ground wire which no other retrofit kit I’ve purchased has come with. The green ground wire is also not mentioned or shown in the product description and picture. It is not as good quality wise as the globe brands 4” smart retrofit kit which has a simpler install with no ground wire.

Expensive

I had to go halo for a specific application. I still to the life of me can't figure out how they can charge so much for so little. These are equivilent to an $11 aio unit as far as brightness and finished appearance, but by the time I was finished these cost 3x's the price with the can itself and this trim kit.
