LOVE GREENWORKS - LOVE THIS ITEM

This is the 4th Greenworks item I have purchased. I started off with the chain saw (love!), then purchased the weed trimmer, then the blower and finally this hedge trimmer. I have 2 batteries that I can switch out as needed, which saves me any down time. This hedge trimmer is a true time saver. I had been using long handled shears to trim the boxwood hedges around my yard. This trimmer saves so much time and really tackles some branches that I didn't think it would handle. It also allows me to get a more even finish as I can just sweep across the shrub with a single fluid motion. These tools are very lightweight and easy for this 50 something woman to use. I am very happy with this purchase.

Don't Assume that the Battery is the Same on all their Products

I should have made sure that I read all the reviews instead of just the top ones as I seen further below the one about the battery, I also have many of the other products from GreenWorks that I have been very happy with. It was time to trim the bushes and figuring that all the others have worked out so well I would order the hedge trimmer as well to find that I can't use the same battery that I've been using on the other GreenWork products so, now I need to decide if I keep this and spend more money on a different battery that will only be for this or just send it back and look for something that will work like the others I have.

The technology for some yard tools isn't ready for battery power yet in my opinion - Leaf Blowers and Chainsaws for instance, but this battery powered hedge trimmer works great. My neighbors think I have an expensive contract with a yard maintenance service, so to keep up the illusion of prosperity that I want to maintain, I am trimming at night and this thing is very quiet.

Check Battery Compatibility.

I mistakenly assumed it took the same battery as my GreenWorks mower, blower and trimmer? It doesn't. Annoying. I can't comment on how it works since I don't have a battery for it. I just need to decide whether to return it or get the correct battery.
