dogs LOVE this toy and fight over it! Can be chewed apart, tho

My dog and his friends love this toy! The squeaker was too large for my 6.6 lb pup to chew, but he loves it anyway. While I was away, it went to the dog sitter's and the tail just about got chewed off. It still works, does not look lovely, but the dogs don't care.

Bite activated motion is weak

It has held up with chewing, pulling, and laundering. I was hoping it would interact and help with a bored puppy. Pup stills play with it, just not what I thought it would be motion-wise. One of the only toys with movement for pups I've found. Cats have all the fun!

Not for the assertive chewer

Although this dog toy is adorable, it is not for the more assertive chewer, which is why we prefer the GoDog toys. My 3 yr old std poodle had chewed off the antennae and side legs in less than five minutes. Thank goodness, she didn't ingest what she chewed off or it could have required surgery. Since GoDog will guarantee replacement of one toy, I contacted them about this one. The replacement they sent was a furry life sized bear claw, chew proof. Not one of our favorite toys. Even she's an adult and not as destructive with her toys as when she was a puppy, I've learned to be careful about selecting GoDog toys. Nothing with any chewable part that isn't reinforced and has stuffing underneath.

Held up longer than expected.

My dogs are very rough in toys because they play tug and occasionally bite through the fabric. This lobster has held up better than expected, but has not gone unscathed. There are holes near the tail. They still play with it and they like that the tail moves when it is squeaked.

I love these toys

What can I say? I love these kinds of toys for my pets. My cats and dog love them. Usually the cat will steal it from the dog lol they are lots of fun because when you least expect it, they will go into action.

Dogs love it.

My dog got this lobster for Christmas, I should preface this with he is an aggressive chewer. I loved that when you push on the lobster the tail flips up, I mean that's why I bought it. My dog however did not care for that particular feature and now it looks like a crab. He has chewed off the tail and somehow pushed the tail into the body so that now it does in fact resemble a crab. So, aggressive chewer parents know that your sweet angel will probably chew through it, but for your sake, I hope not.

Pup loves this bunny..but it stopped moving

My pup loves this bunny. She is very rough on her toys. Absolutely loves squeakers. I thought the movement would be fun for her. It was but because she’s so rough the ears stopped working. She still loves to play with it and it looks like she is satisfied with just the squeak. So far it’s been 2 weeks and it has not ripped apart and oh my does she love tug of war with those ears. No holes yet. Update: 4/30. Added a new pic. She ripped it open. She is very rough on toys this one lasted longer than most. Lol.

Nap buddy

I have a bunch of these for my bulldog. He used to be a heavy chewer but now likes to nap on this and the germ one.

My dog killed this pretty quick …

Given the price my dog killed this pretty quick. I knew that this was going to happen so we supervised him very closely with this toy but it still stopped working within minutes (the tail pops out and it made a sound when he would bite on a specific point on the toy). That said even after it stopped working my dog still loves it which is a lot more than I can say for 90% of the toys he has. He loves godog toys and they out perform most of the other toys on the market so even at the higher price point for my dog I feel that they are worth it. For reference he is a very high energy Australian Shepherd who loves to kill his toys.

Appealing but not a favorite

My medium sized dog was initially very excited to see the fish tail move when its body was squeezed, but I had to get my hands around the widest part and squeeze quite hard to activate the squeak and tail, and he couldn’t quite get his mouth around it to create the reaction himself. My ideal toy is one I don’t always have to entertain him with, that he can play with independently. He is going to succeed in chewing the eyes off any day now.

Good Toy -> Expected More

I really liked the idea of a toy that was actually going to do something NEW ... an "action" toy. The idea of a reactive action toy seemed worth the extra $$ that goDog was charging for an otherwise stuffed squeaky. The action is hardly noticeable. :( Depending on the dog, the size of the dog and the interest of the dog they may be able to squeeze it abit harder to get a somewhat better "reaction of the action". BUT from a house with a few dogs this toy is not worth the money and goDog needs to do better on their very, very cool idea!

Terrible, can cause harm

My frenchie had the tail ripped open in less than an hour. Luckily, he's always supervised and I was able to get it away before he swallowed any plastic. But he did get the plastic tail mechanism apart and was starting to chew on the plastic tube like it was bubble gum. The material is not strong in the slightest. It does not have the bite guard technology, like most other go dog toys offer. I do not recommend this toy as it can cause serious harm to any dog. Because I believe, with the light durability of this fabric, even the lightest of chewers will be able to break through..

not very durable

I bought this for my miniature dachshund puppy who managed to chew through the tail and eyes in less than 2 weeks. The strings and sides of the lobster had to be cut off within a day. I had to patch this toy at least 4x since October. I took it away from him for now until I patch it up again. It doesn't move a lot the tail is a bit stiff. The material around the tail is very thin so he managed to shred it exposing the plastic inside. He loves the toy but for the price and a heavy chewer this is not exactly durable. Could be great for less aggressive chewers.
