Poor seal on product
The plastic film sealing the liquid paste inside came off with the top as I opened it. In turn I spilled flitz all over my floor, a stand, and my backpack. Good thing I got the largest container so I have plenty left, I guess! The flitz paste itself is 5 star worth, tho this large container seems much more liquid than what comes in the tubes, but it needs better packaging IMO

Updated review (8/15/21) I received a replacement from Amazon, and it too arrived open in a bubblepak bag. Not a good omen. The container had leaked in the bag, though I had started a return on this item as well, I later decided to keep this container. I wiped out the bag and used what had spilled out. Still messy and unnecessary if the container could be sealed better. On to the product review. This is an excellent polish. A little runny for a paste, more like a cream designed to squeezed out of a tube.This works on aluminum (Billet or other), paint, chrome, on a buffing wheel in a pinch (a little too liquid, gets everywhere). Use this stuff to polish out the paint, chrome, or aluminum on your car, motorcycle, and bicycle. It even gets rid of the haze (after washing) on on sun, road grime, and oxidation abused paint on my car, also polishing the aluminum and chrome on my motorcycle. Be careful you can screw up your paint job if used wrong. If used to polish aluminum this will not put a "shiny" polish on matte, brushed finish, or spun aluminum, unless it had a fine polish on the item before. Great for removing the haze buildup. This polish has a lot of uses. I like to use this polish with a microfiber cloth, one for application , and a clean one to polish it out. I can't even begin to tell you how much I like this product. This older review was written earlier when I received an open container in a bubblepak bag... At this time I can not rate the features of this item, it arrived open in the bag and everywhere, I am returning, disappointed. Is this stuff supposed to be runnier than the toothpaste in my toothpaste tube? Even though it is stated to be a paste in the title of the description? My hand lotion seems to be thicker?

Worth the investment
For the weekend detailer or professional Flitz meets or exceeds the challenge. As a 18+ year detailer I have used many metal polishes and was thoroughly impressed with the results. Other name brands did a good job, but Flitz by comparison had a much more brilliant shine. Less is more with this product, with gloves I applied a small film on the intended polishing area, and used the Flitz 3" buffing ball on my wheels. Once the product blackened I buffed off with a microfiber. One of the best products I have used for polishing metal or aluminum wheels. **NOTE** My aluminum wheels had minor aluminum oxide but not heavily tarnished or in need of sanding only some 0000 steel wool. If your wheels are severely oxidized some multi step sanding MIGHT be required. However, I would expect that this product would work well with oxidized wheels and worth trying. Might not work of your aluminum wheels have a clear coating.

Amazing stuff
I've used Flitz polishing products on and off all my life. When I bought my first small tube in the 80s I remember it being a bit more abrasive than Semi chrome. Now, it seems to be basically the same. An extremely fine abrasive, so fine in fact it is stated "non abrasive". Something completely non abrasive would be like RenWax. Then there's the ammonia question that always comes up. I have never used the liquid polish, so I can't say...but there HAS to be ammonia in this paste compound. The scent is strong and obvious as a bottle of the old Parsons unscented ammonia in the bottle...bad thing? No. But the advertisements are confusing. Flitz website says it leaves behind a protective WAX film...so polish, get the black residue off, go back and rub it down with a clean cloth, especially if the polishing is an intermediate step. You could use 90% rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol to remove the film That being said does it do what it is advertised to do...clean and polish? You dang skippy it does! Everything I tried it on, although not as fast as Semichrome. Just a dab and I mean a DAB...very small amounts at a time. 2.5 pounds of this stuff? Unless you're detailing vehicles everyday?? That's gonna literally last a lifetime.

Flitz is an outstanding polish. I needed quite a bit of it and was not able to locate the 1 pound can. False Creek Fuels had the product and shipped it in a timely manner. It arrived ahead of plan!!!

Good stuff
This item is expensive and has extended delivery times. But..... if you want the best polish there is then pay and wait. If you use as directed then the results are superb and only a small quantity of product is needed to obtain quality results. If it's good enough for Rick Bischoff it'll certainly do for me. D
